Week 8 Results/Week 9 Predicktions

This week is Halloween week, which means we get to deal with costumes and people pretending to be something they aren't. Let's be fair, we all enjoyed our fair share of Halloween parties and who doesn't love a nice naughty nurse outfit? Yes, just thinking about all those beautiful souls that decided it was time to let the world in... by world I mean a few college guys - hopefully not at the same time.

As my mind runs wild, this is not about naughty nurses - this is about pretender fantasy teams. Yes, listen up - we have a few teams that do not belong in their current costume and they need to be called out...

A) Ertz when Eifert
Don't get me wrong, decent team - but tied for their division top spot good? Nahhh. They have had over 100 fewer points scored against them than the next guy, and nearly over 200 points less than the league average. They have only finished in the top 5 of scoring teams for the week... 3 times. Maybe it is jealousy, but this team is wearing one smokin' hot naughty nurse costume!

B) The J-Bones 2.0
It has been a falling to earth party for this team, losing 2 straight weeks... maybe there are bigger issues with this team than we once thought. The running backs look great - when they are great... but with Rattler at QB for the Saints offense, teams are shutting down Kamara. The Philly offense is getting back the receivers and Hurts might be throwing the ball more. Stroud can never seem to put games away with his arm and does anybody trust the rookie receivers? This naughty nurse need to have a good look in the mirror and figure what is really going on.

Then every so often you show up at a party and there is a ghost just sitting in the corner sipping Mai Thai. You would notice her if she didn't trip over your foot on the way to bathroom - what was that you felt under that costume? An enormous rack. Is this a hidden gem? Does nobody here know what is under this sheet? I am taking this ghost home and we are entering multiple dimensions.

A) Pendulous TD's
There are rumors that CMC is coming back soon. If this is true, this is one ghost I would not want to tangle with coming down the stretch. You might not see this ghost in the playoffs - but they could play spoiler. Any lineup that has a healthy CMC/Achane/Burrow has a chance to score some serious points. That is not even counting LaPorta, who has now caught 2 touchdowns in the past 3 weeks and could score 20 and any given night (he could also score 5 though).

B) Heat Hicks
Is Fantasy teams are ghosts with nice racks, this team has a pair of double D's under that twin sheet. From this point on this team should be project over 120 points every week and has the ability to win the belt at any given time. Also, they are one hail-mary and one rookie running back away from being 4-4 instead of 2-6. They are in the same boat as Pendulous... they may not make the playoffs - but you don't want to play them down the stretch.

HEY.... LOOK HERE THE PREDICTIONS ARE BEING POSTED AT THE SAME TIME AGAIN!!

Matchup of the Week
Cocaine Cowboys (5-3) v The J-Bones 2.0 (5-3)

A top notch match for one of the top spots in the league...
Matchup to Watch: Barkley v Gibbs... most people would say that Barkley is the run away favorite in this matchup. However, what they might not know is that Gibbs has actually outscored Barkley in 5 weeks so far this season - is he the favorite? Probably still not. Only because Barkley gets to go against Jacksonville - which should end up in him getting plenty of touches in the 2nd half. I still think this is closer than it looks.
Cowboys Favor: As long as Lamar Jackson plays football, they have a chance. After that, there is a slew of players that should provide plenty of support when it comes to points. The depth has given this team plenty of chances to compete week-in-and-week-out.
2.0 Favor: Barkley/Kamara... this week both RB's play in games that should equate to a positive game script - which means more hand-offs for them. They will each get 15-20 touches this week and when these two get plenty of opportunity - they find ways to score big points.

Predicktion: The J-Bones 2.0
Mystery Guest: Cocaine Cowboys

PEN15 Wrinkle (3-5) v Heat Hicks (2-6)

Bye week?

Let's be honest, it would be a storybook ending of any chance to make the playoffs if the Heat Hicks lose this week. Not a huge write-up... PEN15 has 4 starters on the bye, win or give-up for Heat Hicks.

Predicktion: Heat Hicks
Mystery Guest: Heat Hicks

Cleveland Streamers (4-4) v Bootay Pirates (3-5)

MNF Football Champions...
Matchup to Watch: Pitts v McBride... every other position is tilted in one direction or another. Running Back's favor Bootay and Wide Receivers favor Streamers. However, the TE position gives us a battle of the number 3 and number 4 TE in the season. This position could be a big win in terms of the overall battle.
Streamers Favor: Lamb/London... I would typically throw in Brian Thomas Jr and Trey McBride in this group and just call it the pass catchers. However, BTJ is questionable - which hurts more than it sounds. BTJ has been arguably the most production rookie wide receiver - maybe not the flashiest... but numbers don't lie. Lamb and London should still be enough to create some space.
Bootay Favor: Taylor/Walker... even though Walker had a rough week last week - he is still a top tier running back this season. He is still averaging 20 points a week and then Taylor closely follows with 18 points a week. These two are 5th and 7th respectively in points scored per week - not a bad duo at all!

Predicktion: Bootay Pirates
Mystery Guest: Cleveland Streamers

Pendulous TD's (2-6) v Connor's Stalions (6-2)

Pendulous ready to take off the costume?
Matchup to Watch: Achane v Cook... a couple of young running backs battling it out - I love a good RB battle. Achane is one the more explosive players in the league and having Tua back actually helps him out extremely. On the flip side, Cook is coming off a big week and looks to continue to keep it going against none other than... the Miami Dolphins. Yes sir, these two face-off in the NFL and in the Fantasy League!
Pendulous Favor: Burrow... remember when Burrow played against the Baltimore defense and scored 33 points? Might be happening again - this time against a weak Las Vegas team. A big week from Burrow would drastically help the TD's cause.
Connor's Favor: Overall depth... at nearly every position there is opportunity for a big game. Not to mention, Daniels is looking like the ROY front runner, but you also have one of the top tight-ends, Bowers (a rookie), a top-tier WR (ARSB), and a top 10 RB (Cook). This matchup could get ugly early.

Predicktion: Connor's Stalions
Mystery Guest: Connor's Stalions

Ankle Holster (6-2) v Love Hurts (4-4)

A battle for the family jewels...
Matchup to Watch: ???? If I am being completely honest... this look likes an absolute curb-stomping waiting to happen. Ankle Holster is emerging as one of the top teams in the league and I don't think Love Hurts has the firepower to stay with them.

Predicktion: Ankle Holster
Mystery Guest: Ankle Holster

MAYEday (2-6) v ARBL (3-5)

Battle at the bottom...
Matchup to Watch: Chase v Hill... remember when Tyreek Hill was amazing in fantasy? No thanks to Tua and his CTE issues - but hey, he is back now! Tyreek has 6 catches and 9 targets... which begins to make this matchup somewhat interesting. You would think that Miami is going to have to throw the ball to stay with Buffalo - give Hill the ball! On the flip side, Chase is unreal at football - possibly the 2nd best receiver overall. The Bengals are heating up and Chase is a big reason why.
MAYE Favor: Depth... Chase is a huge playmaker, but this team also has depth. Lots of players who can score you 10-15 points. If you can put an entire team of that together you are getting a little over 100 points to 130 points in a given week. That would work here... more than enough with the way things are going for ARBL.
ARBL Favor: Depth... Truthfully, the similarity between these teams is kind of shocking. Both teams are filled with players that can score points. The issue becomes that you have no big-time studs that can go out and drop 30+ points... guys who can win you weeks by themselves (trust me, I have lost to them multiple times this season). However, if you can get a decent showing from everyone - you have a chance!

Predicktion: MAYEday
Mystery Guest: MAYEday

Ertz when Eifert (6-2) v The J-Bones (5-3)

Matchup of the Week 2.0...
Matchup to Watch: Jefferson v Brown... or maybe Mixon v Henry... honestly, take your pick - both seem intriguing to me. Jefferson and Brown have averaged .6 difference in points and Mixon and Henry have averaged .5 difference in points. Both teams are in contention for a top seed and these matchups will go a long way of determining the outcome this week.
Ertz Favor: Star Power... you know when a team has depth, they are scary - but when they have star power, it could be dangerous. These players have been know to score big time points 25+, but have also been known to struggle. I think they will need the star power to step-up this week and won't be able to count on another dud week in a matchup.
J-Bones Favor: WR's... Brown and Kupp have averaged a combined 38.6 points - that is massive. Given, both players have been dealing with injuries and now coming back - they did score nearly 30 combined points in their respective first games back. Things are looking promising for this team if these two return to form.

Predicktion: The J-Bones
Mystery Guest: Ertz when Eifert

As always, I wish everyone good luck - except for you, PEN15 Wrinkle - may your entire lineup be forced to watch an entire WNBA game willed with layups, dribbling, passing, and more layups.

Week 7 Predicktions

There is not much worse than being the worst team in your Fantasy Football League.... trust me I know. It seems like every week there is something that happens and that equates to a loss for your team. Maybe it is a hail mary, maybe it is an injury, maybe it is trading away a player and they have a big week. Either way, you got to show up the next day and hear it from everyone - as you should. If you suck at Fantasy Football, it is everyone's job to let you know how many blahhhhs you should be giving. Don't get me wrong, it sucks - but maybe not as bad as....

1. Being told to shut-up by two guys in sweatsuits while you try to play Connect 4 against anyone in the bar. Were you yelling? Suuurrrreeee. Did people love it? You bet. Did you beat everyone that you played? Obviously. But those two f*ggots really ruined the night by yelling at everyone. Way to ruin the fun, ya dick sucker!

2. The inability to close a solid night of work on someone of the female persuasion... if you know what I mean. Maybe, you bought her drinks... maybe a bunch of people went back to her place... maybe you started playing a game involving more libations and the removal of clothes... and maybe, you decide that you can't hold your alcohol the moment she removes her top. Yup, that would totally suck.

3. Needing to rock the porcelain throne and all the men's rooms are full. You got two options... ladies room? Been there done that. Or you find a nice dark area out back and pray this thing comes out solid. Yeahhhh, that would suck.

All three of these things suck, but nothing matches...

4. TBRI Training.... f*ck that sh*t.

Matchup of the Week
Heat Hicks (1-5) v Love Hurts (3-3)

Yeahhhh, homer pick for MotW
Matchup to Watch: Nabers v MHJ... that is, if this matchup happens. These are 2 of the top 3 rookie WRs and when they play, they have the ability to make any catch. Nabers is obviously having the better year - but once acquired by Heat Hicks he has been out with concussion protocol (naturally). MHJ is now dealing with an injury, but it will be fun to see this take place on the fantasy field, should both play.
Heat Hick Favor: Close to full strength... they are getting close to full strength, but the question is whether it is too late. Had they won last week (lost to a half-time hail mary), they might have had a much better chance at the playoffs - now they need to run the table. They are my pick for the belt this week though.
Love Favor: Matchups... you look across the board and there are not many (if any) top-tier defenses these players are going against. Don't buy into the projections hype, this matchup could be close. The matchups are really nice for Love Favor with games of high over/under lines and teams that typically give up 20-30 points a game.

Predicktion: Heat Hicks
Mystery Guest: Heat Hicks

PEN15 Wrinkle (3-3) v The J-Bones (3-3)

Battle of the .500 teams
Matchup to Watch: Hill v Henry... let's be honest, this shouldn't be much of a battle. King Henry has taken sole possession of the backfield. Hill will come in and try and work some passing downs - but Henry should win this matchup handily, if not - there are issues. There a few other players that share teams and games among these two teams, which is what creates a fun matchup between these two teams.
Wrinkle Favor: Andrews... I look at this matchup and it looks like it could get out of hand. Wilson matches up with a tough defense (Pitt) and Mason is banged up. However, Marc Andrews is finally starting to get going and if he can get keep things rolling - it will help this squad tremendously.
J-Bones Favor: Henry/Bucky... these two teams play each other and there one thing to take away from this NFL matchup. Baltimore has given up almost a rushing touchdown a game, and they are the more stout rushing defenses. Bucky has pretty much taken over the starting role for Tampa - but things get even better when you look at the other side of things. Tampa has given up just over 115 rushing yards and more than 1 rushing touchdown per game. Guess who is going to eat that up? King Henry.

Predicktion: The J-Bones
Mystery Guest: The J-Bones

The J-Bones 2.0 (5-1) v ARBL (2-4)

Does the onslaught continue?
Matchup to Watch: Uhhhhhh.... pick a player, I guess? At the time of writing, ARBL currently has 4 players on bye and 4 players that are questionable/doubtful/out. Truthfully, I am writing this during a certain Tuesday conference night. I know it is early, but man this does not look good on paper. Things may change throughout the week - but it is tough to find a way to throw something out there when you have 4 players on bye and some injuries.
2.0 Favor: Everything... literally just everything.
ARBL Favor: Changes... hopefully there are changes to be made to the starting lineup. McLaurin was a player that was just picked up and he performed very well. This manager is struggling to get wins, but part of that is due to injuries and timing.

Predicktion: The J-Bones 2.0
Mystery Guest: The J-Bones 2.0

Cleveland Streamers (3-3) v Ankle Holster (4-2)

Can Holster keep it going?
Matchup to Watch: Evans v Diggs... these two guys each face tough secondaries and defenses that focus on stopping the air attack. It will be fun to see which guy has a big game. For Evans, it has seemed to be feast or famine (especially with Godwin playing so well). Diggs has also been the same way with so many different weapons on the Houston offense. One of these guys could step-up and have big games, or both could be strangled by the tough defenses.
Streamers Favor: Healthy Richardson?... A healthy Richardson could help out this squad a lot - especially with an enticing matchup against Miami. Now, if he is not healthy - there is Danny Dimes going against a Philly defense. Richardson is a near must for this team to have a good shot at winning. The other issue, do the Colts even play Richardson if he is healthy or do they ride out Smokin' Joe into the sunset?
Holster Favor: RB's... this a complete troll, since this dickhead bet me $20 that his top RB would score more than my top RB by the end of the season. Bijan and Breece are within .3 of each other... Breece is ahead - only for now!

Predicktion: Ankle Holster
Mystery Guest: Ankle Holster

Pendulous TD's (2-4) v Ertz when Eifert (4-2)

Has there been a more injured team than Pendulous?
Matchup to Watch: Wan'Dale v Mims... who the f*ck are these guys? Mainly, why I wanted them to be the Matchup to Watch. Wan'Dale has been a pleasant surprise for Pendulous and for Giants fans. He is averaging over 10 targets a game - and that includes when Nabers was healthy. On the flip side.... yeahhhhh not gonna lie - I have seen the error of my ways. It is very early to write this, and Mims is definitely getting replaced with Jefferson - but I am just too lazy to delete and rewrite.
TD's Favor: Heart... there is not many teams that have taken the injury hits like Pendulous TD's, three of his top 4 picks were injured and the 4th guy was none other than Sam LaPorta - a player who has struggled to come anywhere close to his potential for the season. On top of that, TD's made a trade and acquired Travis Etienne - now hurt. If anything comes of this... the boys have heart.
Ertz Favor: Just good?.... I know it is a cop-out, but when you can get a win and you have Justin Jefferson on the bye (last week), then you have a good lineup. Literally the only thing this lineup is missing is a good TE - after that, they are good to go. This should be a run away win for the Ertz boys.

Predicktion: Ertz when Eifert
Mystery Guest: Ertz when Eifert

Bootay Pirates (2-4) v Connor's Stalions (5-1)

Effin' Hail Mary
Matchup to Watch: Effin' Hail Mary
Bootay Pirates: Effin' Hail Mary
Connor's Stallions: Just don't lose to an Effin' Hail Mary

Predicktion: Connor's Stalions
Mystery Guest: Bootay Pirates

Cocaine Cowboys (3-3) v MAYEday (2-4)

Must win?
Matchup to Watch: Devonta v Chase... this may seem like an uneven matchup, but hear me out. Chase is averaging 20.1 points... but half of his performances have yielded less than 13 points. Devonta has never scored below 15 points in his outings. Chase faces a tough Cleveland defense and a Devonta goes against a weak NYG defense. Things look uneven on paper... but are they?
Cocaine Favor: Big Plays... Cocaine has players that have the potential to make big plays. You look at a player like Jameson Williams and his stat line last week: 3 catches, 75 yards, 1 touchdown. Devonta Smith had 3 catches, 64 yards, 1 touchdown. Pittman Jr. had 3 catches, 34 yards, 1 touchdown. Tony Pollard had 93 yards and a touchdown. Yes, you want to see more opportunities - but as long as they can cust a few plays open - they have the potential to score.
MAYE Favor: Across the Pond... I know that MAYEday is not going to like hearing this, but the last time Jacksonville stayed in England for a back-to-back... they won. This could represent a fantastic opportunity for Engram and Kirk - especially considering they are welcoming the Patriots, who are giving up nearly 3 touchdowns a game. With Etienne out, this production has to come from somewhere.

Predicktion: Cocaine Cowboys
Mystery Guest: MAYEday

As always, I wish everyone good luck - except for you, Bootay Pirates - may your entire line-up be forced to watch an entire WNBA game filled with layups, dribbling, passing, and more layups.

Week 6 Results

Yup, not gonna lie - I am writing this one during our favorite day of the year.... Parent Teacher Conference combined with Professional Development. Don't get me wrong, I am trying to get it done before the TBRI training... I wouldn't want to miss any healthy touching! Who isn't on the edge of their seat right now? You know what we need?

Covid Parent Teacher Conferences.

That was actually the best day. No parents allowed to come in, "phone calls" to be made and just a day of hanging with the bros. Yup, I like those kind of Parent Teacher Conference. Now, don't get me wrong - I am fine some parents... specifically the moms. Who doesn't love a good confused mom that has no clue what is happening with her child. Just makes me think, "Are that busy with OnlyFans to miss out on what your child is doing in school?"

Matchup of the Week
Connor's Stallion (5-1) v The J-Bones 2.0 (5-1)

Battle at the top...
Matchup to Watch: Daniels v Stroud... turned out to be a pretty close battle. Stroud looked amazing in the first half and then just as Houston tends to do, they let their foot off the gas in the 2nd half. Daniels truly didn't look great (as he has looked), but he still managed to score 20 points this week. That is huge for that to happen, on an off week that Daniels can still score 20 points.
Players of Note: Chris Godwin is becoming Baker's favorite target in Tampa. He is seeing an average of 10 targets per week... which is a ton of opportunity at the wide receiver role. Godwin is now the number 1 ranked WR and is looking like a stud. This could be a preview of the championship battle for the league... round 1 goes to The J-Bones 2.0.

Predicktion: The J-Bones 2.0... RIGHT!!
Mystery Guest: The J-Bones 2.0... RIGHT!!

Bootay Pirates (2-4) v Heat Hicks (1-5)

Battle at the bottom...
Matchup to Watch: Well, in the battle to watch (Bijan v Mooney/Pitts), Bijan finally had the big game. The issue then became that no one else decided to show up. It is not often that a player in the Matchup to Watch wins against 2 players and the team still loses. This was a big matchup for both teams... going 2-4 v 1-5 is a huge difference.
Players of Note: Walker got things going for Bootay on TNF and Lazard finished things off on MNF. It was tough to watch the end of the 1st half on the MNF game and watch Lazard come down with a 50-yard hail mary for a touchdown, essentially a 12 point play. Yup, that is fantastic. Lazard has probably been one of the best 2nd options in the NFL... the comfortability with Rodgers has really shown.

Predicktion: Heat Hicks.... WRONG!!
Mystery Guest: Heat Hicks.... WRONG!!

Ankle Holster (4-2) v ARBL (2-4)

Big trade, still no win...
Matchup to Watch: Reed v McLaurin... McLaurin was a big trade and pick-up for ARBL. He goes out and scores 20+ points for his team, 2nd only to the TE Kmet (who was a key reason why the team felt safe trading away Kelce). On the flip side, Reed looks like a playmaker in the Packers offense... just not his turn to have the multiple touchdown games. He is going to keep having steady games mixed in with big games!
Players of Note: Want to know what the best time for your top players to play? MNF. There is no better feeling than being down 45+ points going into MNF and having Josh Allen/Breece Hall/Tyler Bass go out and score nearly 50+ points. It would be terrible to lose on an explosion of points on a MNF and have your NFL team get toyed with by an NFC foe. The Detroit Lions were lining up offensive tackles at wide receivers and they were flea-flicking their way throughout the game. Rough.

Predicktion: Ankle Holster... RIGHT!!
Mystery Guest: Ankle Holster... RIGHT!!

Love Hurts (3-3) v The J-Bones (3-3)

Middle of the Pack Battle...
Matchup to Watch: Dell v AJ Brown... not that it would have mattered... but got to be questioning why Dell was removed from the lineup. He is the top guy in an offense that wants to score... at least Ray-Ray showed out... ohhhh wait. But like I said, it wouldn't have mattered - AJ Brown scored 23 points and was one of 6 players to score more than 18 points. Talk about running into a buzzsaw.
Players of Note: For Love Hurts, Deebo and Kittle had good games - which is something that we might see more of. Jordan Love is back in form and he looks in complete control of that offense. They do get Kyren Williams back off the bye, which will help fill that lineup out. On the flip side, The J-Bones had a big week (BELT WEEK!!), wild that Dak Prescott is the lowest scoring player for them. Dak and the Cowboys looked completely lost, but everyone else came out and got a much needed win.

Predicktion: The J-Bones... RIGHT!!
Mystery Guest: Love Hurts... WRONG!!

Ertz when Eifert (4-2) v PEN15 Wrinkle (3-3)

Big when for the farter...
Matchup to Watch: Metcalf v Mason... talk about a swing and a miss on the Matchup to Watch, neither player broke 10 points. For Mason, it would be due to an injury... but Metcalf never really got going. Typically, these players are the focus of the offenses - not be had this week.
Players of Note: Uhhhhh... Fields/Montgomery/Mixon/Flowers had big weeks and all scored more than 20 points. The rest of the players on the Ertz lineup didn't score 20 points combined. On the flip side, Wilson had a big week. The Jets should have won that game, unfortunately Cue Ball Zuerlein forgot how to kick a football. The other Player to Note... Olave, who finished with -.5 points????? Yes, he got injured - but it is still crazy that he finished with negative points. Not often you see that out of a wide receiver.

Predicktion: Ertz when Eifert... RIGHT!!
Mystery Guest: Ertz when Eifert... RIGHT!!

MAYEday (2-4) v Cleveland Streamers (3-3)

Good teams, good battle...
Matchup to Watch: Streamers won the battle of the WR's... Streamers won the war. Lamb/Evans/London performed below their projected output.... but they still managed to beat out the boys for MAYEday. DJ Moore and Kirk struggled with the London weather... don't ever trust a football played in England.
Players of Note: Nobody really stands out... except 1 players - Tyrone Tracy Jr. The past two games for the Giants he has averaged 18 points per week. If I were the Giants, I might just let him start over Singletary. Drake London has been the opposite of the London Games - he has played well. He is now the 5th ranked WR... and he will look to continue the hot start with lots of fairly comfy matchups in the future.

Predicktion: MAYEday... WRONG!!
Mystery Guest: Cleveland Streamers... RIGHT!!

Cocaine Cowboys (3-3) v Pendulous TD's (2-4)

The fight for .500
Matchup to Watch: Lamar v Burrow... a good battle that stayed with 1 fantasy point. Jackson presents so much value with everything he does for Baltimore. Burrow has so many weapons and can the Cincy offense can strike quick. Both players led their fantasy team - which is a good thing (because they are good at football) and a bad thing (because they didn't score more than 20 points).
Players of Note: Etienne... this is a player that I do not fully understand what is happening with him. Yes, he is dealing with an injury - but he was a top RB last year. Going into this year, he should have been a top RB.... now? He is outside the top 30 RB's and he might not even be the best RB on the Jags roster. On the flip side, if you want a RB that is going to score well just start the RB going against Indianapolis.

Week 6 Predicktion

Some of you are unlucky enough to have kids... let me tell you - it is a blessing and a curse. I have two little sh*ts - a boy and a girl. They are completely different and both equally as frustrating. For one, my daughter is a girl.

My son is a mini-me, which might be just as frustrating as raising a girl. You ever have an argument with yourself? Let me tell you, it is tough. These little money grabbing, semen sapiens take up so much time and energy that there is little time for things that matter - FANTASY FOOTBALL. And did I mention that my daughter is a girl? Ugh.

Some of you are probably wondering what is wrong with the commissioner - his team sucks. Kids are what is wrong with my team. I have a son who is now getting into Fantasy Football, which is cool and all - but now he wants to check everything on my phone.... which leaves less time for me to actually get better. And did I mention that my daughter is a girl? Ugggghhhhhhh.

Nonetheless, the best part about having kids.... they can be used for great excuses. Why does my fantasy football suck? My kids. Why am I bad golf? My kids. Why did last night's woopie last only 2 minutes? My kids. And did I mention that my daughter is a girl? Ugggggggghhhhhhhhh.

Matchup of the Week
Connor's Stalions (5-0) v The J-Bones 2.0 (4-1)

Battle of the top 2...
Matchup to Watch: Daniels v Stroud... this is a matchup between last year's ROY and this year's soon-to-be ROY. Stroud may have found his stride these past couple of weeks as the Houston offense gets rolling. He will be without top wideout Nico Collins... but there is still plenty of weapons throughout that offense. Daniels is the up-and-coming star and fantasy stud. He is everything you want in a QB... scrambling and keeping the offense going. Did you know the Washington Commanders have scored the most points in the NFC? Thanks to Daniels.
Stalions Favor: Receivers.... lets not lie, losing Nico Collins is going to hurt - but when you still ARSB/Aiyuk/K. Allen.... you will be just fine. To think that somehow this team has all of these receivers as well as striking gold with Bowers. Stalions strategy of going with young players with a big upside has really worked, especially when he hit on multiple players.
2.0 Favor: RB's... Kamara/Barkley/Hubbard.... to think that all three of these backs are ranked in the top 7. This a serious advantage, not to mention that at one point Pacheco was in place of Hubbard. Hubbard was picked up in the 12th round and honestly looked completely lost until Carolina decided to turn to Dalton at QB. Once that happened, Hubbard's stock took off - the past 3 games Hubbard has managed to reach pay dirt. These three are going to go a long way to helping 2.0 pull off the upset.

Predicktion: The J-Bones 2.0
Mystery Guest: The J-Bones 2.0

Bootay Pirates (1-4) v Heat Hicks (1-4)

Battle at the Bottom....
Matchup to Watch: Mooney/Pitts v Bijan... at some point Bijan has to have the breakout game that everyone expects. In five weeks, Bijan has 1 touchdown and Pitts has 1 touchdown as well. Want to know who has the most out of the trio? Darnell Mooney. He has 3 touchdowns is actually sitting ranked at WR15. If Heat Hicks is going to get a much needed win, Bijan needs to have a big week. If Mooney and Pitts can win this matchup - then Bootay Pirates could take control of this matchup.
Bootay Favor: Consistency.... if we are being honest, when you have a battle at the bottom it is difficult to pick out a favor for each team. Bootay has some consistency in this specific matchup that does lead to a slight advantage for them. There is a significant amount of players that could have good games throughout the week. If this lineup can get some consistency there is a good chance they can pull out a much needed win.
Heat Favor: RBs... as I stated, it is tough to pick out a bright spot in the lineup. If Heat Hicks can get the win this week, then the future is bright. After this week, they will be welcoming Kelce (after a big trade) and hopefully Puka back into the lineup. This lineup should tidy up nicely - but they can fall too out of reach of the playoffs early on. The RBs, need to have big weeks in order to help solidify a needed win.

Predicktion: Heat Hicks
Mystery Guest: Heat Hicks

Ankle Holster (3-2) v ARBL (2-3)

Does the big trade equate to a big win?
Matchup to Watch: Reed v McLaurin... ARBL made a big trade this week, trading away Kelce for Terry McLaurin. Some might say that on paper this trade looks lopsided, but let's break it down. ARBL is struggling with receivers and bringing in McLaurin is a huge help to group. Not to mention that Kmet is a very good TE (actually ranked just outside the top 5) and having him sit on the bench does not help. Kelce is not the Kelce of old, so trading him away and gaining value immediately in the WR's. On the flip side, Reed loves having Love back. He is a big time player and Love creates more opportunity for Reed.
Ankle Favor: Depth... there is not a player in the starting lineup outside the top 25 of the position ranks. Some might say this lineup is one of the deeper lineups in the league... Allen is a top tier QB, Breece and Jacobs make for a solid duo at RB, Diggs/Reed/Ertz are all top level pass catchers. There are plenty of opportunities for big-time points, if just one or two of them have big weeks it could spell trouble for ARBL.
ARBL Favor: Making Moves.... this week would have been completely lost if there was no trade made. Kelce was already on the bye-week and wasn't going to help get a needed win in the first place. But this owner has shown their decision making to value getting much needed wins and valuing the future of the team. Also, did you know that Geno Smith leads the league in Passing Yards???? Color me shocked.

Predicktion: Ankle Holster
Mystery Guest: Ankle Holster

Love Hurts (3-2) v The J-Bones (2-3)

Middle of the Pack Battle...
Matchup to Watch: Dell v AJ Brown... this looks like a very odd matchup to watch, but hear me out. Tank Dell was the number 2 receiver for a Houston Texans team that loves to throw the ball. But now that Nico Collins is on the IR, Dell is the top dawg in the offense. On the flip side, AJ Brown is coming off an injury but has had 4 weeks of getting himself right and now the Eagles offense is ready to fly. It helps that the entire team is coming off a bye week.
Love Favor: Expected Game Line Value... This game features one of the top game lines of the week (49.5) and there is expected to be points scored. Love and MHJ are both playing in this game, which could lead to them scoring big time points. Another game that features a high game line? San Fran v Seattle (49.5). Deebo and Kittle play in that game. There are multiple players playing in games with high expectations of points to be scored.
J-Bones Favor: Beatdown of bad teams.... Pittsburgh gets the luxury of playing against the Raiders - a team full of players making "business decisions." They are arguably the worst team in the NFL and Pitt is going to have a field day against them. AJ Brown also gets the matchup against Cleveland.... which has looked lost this season. AJB is coming off a bye and Philly should be rolling from here on out.

Predicktion: The J-Bones
Mystery Guest: Love Hurts

Ertz when Eifert (3-2) v PEN15 Wrinkle (3-2)

Fight for the top...
Matchup to Watch: Metcalf v Mason... this matchup is big in the TNF game. Metcalf is a top-tier WR that will be looking to bounce back after a rough week. Mason and the boys will be looking to solidify their spot in the division against Seattle. These two will be looking to help carry their squad to the win. Both the players are focuses of the offense and both players will need to have big games.
Ertz Favor: Value across the board... it is amazing to see a projects board that features this many green checkmarks on one side of the matchup. There is a huge favor on the side of Ertz... nothing looks super amazing, but the consistency across the board gives Ertz a large favor. It is strange to see that the only thing that doesn't favor Ertz is the WR's... a position normally dominated by Ertz.
Wrinkle Favor: TNF... it is no mystery that this team is dominated by 49er players and if the 49ers play well, so will this team. This game features a high over-under (49.5) and the 49ers are favored to win. This could be a big advantage for Wrinkle is Mason/Purdy/Def can perform well in an early week matchup.

Predicktion: Ertz when Eifert
Mystery Guest: Ertz when Eifert

MAYEday (2-3) v Cleveland Streamers (2-3)

Surprising battle of good teams....
Matchup to Watch: WR's v WR's... these teams both have a 2-3 record but find themselves in the middle of the pack of points scored. MAYEday comes into this week holding the belt and Chase and Moore are back again. On the flip side, Evans and CeeDee also represent a good chunk of value on the Streamers. These 4 WR's could find themselves all in the top 10 this week... which makes this intriguing to watch.
MAYE Favor: WR's.... even though these guys are featured in the Matchup to Watch, it is hard not to pick them as the advantage for MAYE. Chase/Moore/Kirk combined for over 80 points scored - which is absurd. These receivers are finally finding their stride and they are looking to continue rolling this week.
Streamers Favor: WR's... it is hard to write WR's here, because I wrote it for MAYE and I wrote it for Matchup to Watch. This trio scored nearly 70 points - which is no small task by itself. Chase Brown and Rico Dowdle are in a shared backfield, but both have carved a role for themselves. No matter.... this entire matchup is coming down to the battle of the WR's, and I for one am excited to see who wins.

Predicktion: MAYEday
Mystery Guest: Cleveland Streamers

Cocaine Cowboys (2-3) v Pendulous TD's (2-3)

Who is going to get to .500?
Matchup to Watch: Lamar v Burrow... did you watch football last week? These two QB's put on a show! Lamar finished with 4 touchdowns and nearly 400 total yards. Burrow finished with 5 touchdowns and nearly 400 total yards. It was electric and it was against each other. This week they face-off against new teams, but let's be honest - this is going to be a great battle at the QB spot.
Cocaine Favor: RB's... truthfully, you could count Lamar as a running back and just include is rushing yards - the trio could get over 300 rushing yards. That alone would equate to 30 points. Then if they can get a few touchdown included - you are looking at right around 40 points from rushing yards and touchdowns alone. This is a huge advantage for Cocaine, who could use a big win this week to push themselves back towards the playoff line.
Pendulous Favor: Pass Catchers.... I wanted to include LaPorta in that mix. JSN and Wan'Dale have been good surprises this year. JSN might have been expected to score a little higher - but he is showing good opportunity. He is getting 8 targets a game and when that happens there is always a chance for points. Wan'Dale has been one of the biggest diamonds in the rough. NYG need to throw the ball to stay in games and Wan'Dale has turned himself into a nice number 2 receiver. The big question, when will LaPorta become LaPorta?

Predicktion: Cocaine Cowboys
Mystery Guest: Pendulous TD's

As always, I wish everyone good luck - except for you, Bootay Pirates - may your entire line be forced to watch an entire WNBA game filled with layups, dribbling, passing, and more layups.

Week 5 Results

Yeahhhhhh, I am not gonna lie to you - it is hard writing a blog (two actually) every week. I don't know how people do it - my mind just doesn't work that way. Actually, it does - I just think to myself.... is it really worth it? It is similar to being married.... at first you are banging every night. She's into it, you are clearly into it. Hot stuff. Then you start watching Netflix, maybe you find a nice series - something like Monk or New Girl. Now you are banging every other night, you gotta watch your episodes instead. Then you get to the point where she just offers up a BJ and calls it good. Suuuuuurrrreeeee, the first few times are fun - who doesn't love a good mouth hole? After a while, you are want something different - you want back in the cave! That is where this blog is getting to.... we are on our 8th BJ in 8 weeks and we need something to hit different. Nonetheless, I will power through and offer up this jackhammer to continue to doused in saliva so that this marriage can last.

Also, nobody on the trade targets made a move - and 3 of the 4 teams lost...... hmmmmmm - maybe something needs to be switched up.

Matchup of the Week
The J-Bones 2.0 (4-1) v PEN15 Wrinkle (3-2)

Matchup to Watch: Kamara v Mason.... highly underwhelming when it is all said and done. There were a few other players that stepped-up, and that is why these teams found themselves in the MotW - because they have good lineups that can score throughout. San Fran is a confusing team - one that can look so dominant, yet somehow lose the game - one might think that Mason would be a key part to putting games away. Yes, he did fumble the ball in the late stages of the game... but he was gaining yards in chunks. Kamara is always going to be the main guy in New Orleans... they just need to realize it.
Players of Note: Kraft was added on the Wednesday before the TNF game and boy was he a big pick-up for the week. They say that it is the GMs that make those types of moves that are generational type decision makers. On the flip side, G. Wilson had a big game and he could turn himself into a big trade target.... but something needs to be changed up, because the 3-2 record is highly deceiving.

Predicktion: The J-Bone 2.0.... RIGHT!!
Mystery Guest: The J-Bones 2.0.... RIGHT!!

Heat Hicks (1-4) v Cocaine Cowboys (2-3)

Matchup to Watch: Robinson v Ford/Sermon....You want to know who has been the most underwhelming player in fantasy football right now? BIJAN MOTHAF*CKIN ROBINSON. No, he is not on the trade block.... because we all know the moment that he is traded, he is going to start going off. On the flip side, Semon was great in J. Taylor absence. Maybe, he has earned himself another week of service?
Players of Note: Lamar Jackson had an amazing game... one that may have vaulted him into the MVP race, if not near the top. When you need a big week, Lamar is the guy to bet on.... and without him, this matchup would have easily gotten away. To be fair, nobody saw the game that Slayton had. He is one of the more talented receivers on NYG not named Nabers. Slayton may have carved himself out some more targets in the future.

Predicktion: Heat Hicks... WRONG!!
Mystery Guest: Cocaine Cowboys... RIGHT!!

Ertz when Eifert (3-2) v Love Hurts (3-2)

Matchup to Watch: I am not gonna lie... I am really confused with the decision making process of subbing out Murray for Fields. Fields has been playing well and Dallas has not been the best of defense. Clearly, I am a Monday Morning QB and hindsight is 20/20.... but that has gotta hurt seeing the difference between the two QBs and the difference in the final.
Players of Note: Let's just be completely honest, Love Hurts should just thank their lucky stars. You know the only way to get a win when you score the 2nd fewest points in the week? You play the person who scored the fewest points in the week. Can it really be that bad? Well, both teams missed the 3rd fewest points by 10 points and then the rest of the league breached the 100 point mark.

Predicktion: Love Hurts... RIGHT!!
Mystery Guest: Love Hurts... RIGHT!!

ARBL (2-3) v Connor's Stalions (5-0)

Matchup to Watch: Hill v Aiyuk.... Yup, thing have really dropped off for Hill - he needs Tua. Not that it really would have mattered, Stalions is the team to beat in the league. Aiyuk finally had a big game and if that continues, this team might not lose all season long. Can you imagine? That would be nutty.
Players of Note: If you didn't know, Geno Smith was passing yards leader of allllll of the NFL coming into this week. The Seahawks are a sneaky pass-first team and Geno may find himself near the top of that list come season's end. Bowers deserves some kind of shoutout... all the talk has been about Jayden Daniels, but yet - Bowers is leading the position. TE has been tough to find something that is consistent and having Bowers is a key to Stalions success.

Predicktion: Connor's Stalions... RIGHT!!
Mystery Guest: Connor's Stalions... RIGHT!!

Ankle Holster (3-2) v MAYEday (2-3)

Matchup to Watch: Reed v Chase.... put a spotlight on a guy and watch him go! Chase was the high point getter of all players this week and a lot of it came on big chunk plays. Chase had two touchdown receptions, one for 70 yards and one for 41 yards.... it was an amazing game and Burrow and Chase might just be back.
Players of Note: DJ Moore is starting to heat up. People were down on him at first and honestly, the trade to get Moore has been a big one for MAYE (probably cost Heat Hicks at least 2 wins). He had a big week this week and now sees himself launched into the top 15 at WR - and trending upward. On the flip side, Ankle Holster's top point getter would have only placed 5th on MAYEday's team this week - there is a reason why the belt is going to MAYEday!

Predicktion: Ankle Holster... WRONG!!
Mystery Guest: Ankle Holster... WRONG!!

The J-Bones (2-3) v Bootay Pirates (1-4)

Matchup to Watch: You can pretty much forget about this Matchup to Watch... Taylor didn't even suit up. The Indianapolis offense is a disaster and they can't even beat the lowly Jags. There are a lot of similarities between that game (Indy v Jville) and this matchup. One team comes in 2-2 and the other 0-4. One team has a chance to push themselves near the top of the division, but can't seem to close the door. Another team is set on keeping everyone in their lineup (and failing), but this one last glimmer of light - might just keep the hope alive!
Players of Note: Holy Darnell Mooney. It does help with Cousins decides to throw for over 500 yards... those yards gotta go somewhere. Mooney had a big game and it was needed for the week for Bootay to get their first win of the season. Nobody has a 0 in the win column anymore.

Predicktion: Bootay Pirates.... RIGHT!!
Mystery Guest: The J-Bones... WRONG!!

Cleveland Streamers (2-3) v Pendulous TD's (2-3)

Matchup to Watch: Well, Richardson decided to not to play - sooooo the Matchup to Watch was not so eventful. Especially considering Streamers went with Huntley.... woops. Luckily it didn't matter, Etienne is looking more and more like he is in a 50/50 backfield with Bigsby. It also doesn't help that Bigsby seems to run better with the ball.
Players of Note: Holy Drake London. See The J-Bones v Bootay Pirates Players of Note. Streamers also went from having no defense to having Denver - who scored 15 points and finished 3rd for the week. Yup, making the right calls at the right time!

Week 5 Predicktions

We are almost 1/3 of the way through the fantasy regular season. Which means it is decision time for some teams. We still have 1 undefeated team (Connor's Stalions) and we 1 winless team (Bootay Pirates). After that, it gets a little murky in the waters. Yes, there has only been 4 weeks in - but here are some trade targets that could be moved....

A) J. Taylor of D. Adams (Bootay Pirates)
Don't get me wrong, these are great players - but that exactly the reason why they could be moved. They bring value to the table and should expect value back. If you have paid attention the NFL - there is talks that Adams could be traded, which means he brings value in the unexpected. I could see a team offering depth for a play like him and that could help Bootay get off the spiral.

B) T. Hill (ARBL)
This is an interesting target - one that many might not go after. To be fair, Tyreek is still Tyreek - he is just struggling as much as Miami is as a whole. I still think Hill carries value - with just what he can do if he does get the ball. ARBL is a team that is struggling and moving a player like Hill could bring in some new blood to the lineup.

C) G. Wilson (PEN15 Wrinkle)
This is a different kind of team... one that is 3-1, but they are still are on the bottom half of points scored. Wilson is a player that should be scoring points in bunches, but the Jets offense has yet to start clicking. It is a risky move to give up a receiver like Wilson, but it could push Wrinkle to the top of the league with being competitive in terms of points being scored.

D) T. Mclaurin (Heat Hicks)
This is another odd move, Heat Hicks is sitting at 1-3 - and could use some movement in the lineup. The issue becomes the fact that he needs a QB and trading a receiver for a QB can be difficult. QB used to be a position that you could stream, but with the way the league is operating now - you really need a scrambling fantasy QB... and those are being held on to tightly.

Matchup of the Week
The J-Bones 2.0 (3-1) v PEN15 Wrinkle (3-1)

Battle at the top...
Matchup to Watch: Kamara v Mason... this entire matchup is extremely close, and these two could determine the outcome. Kamara has been the number 1 RB in the league and arguably one of the favorites for fantasy MVP. Mason is the clear cowbell for the 49ers (after the CMC debacle) and is the heavy favorite for Waiver Wire pick-up of the year. These two could each score 20+ points this week and a big week with the way matchups are looking.
2.0 Favor: Decision Making... when you look at 2.0's bench, one thing that stands out is the fact that it is an easy call on who to play. Most fantasy owners have a tough decision to make each week - not for this team. The bench was already not deep to begin with and then the first bye week has made the decisions easy.
Wrinkle Favor: Arizona Defense... Arizona has given up an average of 35 points a game this season. That means that the likes of the 49ers offense, should score well here. Wrinkle has the starting QB and RB for the 9ers and they have the defense (who happens to be quite good at football as well). This could be a good week for Wrinkle in terms of that matchup alone.

Predicktion: The J-Bones 2.0
Mystery Guest: The J-Bones 2.0

Heat Hicks (1-3) v Cocaine Cowboys (1-3)

Battle at the bottom
Matchup to Watch: Robinson v Ford/Sermon... in a season that has yet to see Bijan score more than 20 points in a week - this matchup is key. The two RB's for Cowboys are playing solely because of bye weeks to the other RB's in the lineup and Robinson needs to win this matchup alone in order to have a chance at winning this week.
Hicks Favor: Depth... the first bye week has taken out 2 players... but there was plenty of depth to somewhat cover that up. There is not a huge hit when it comes to the bye week, something that can not be said for the opposing side. The matchups are not favorable, but who knows in this league - sometimes things look tough and then players step up.
Cowboys Favor: Lamar Jackson... Jackson is so far my pick for NFL MVP. He is also the type of QB you want for fantasy purposes. He could score 30 points if he decides to keep the ball around the goal line. Cincinnati has yet to look superb and this is a big game for Baltimore. Look for the Ravens to lean on Jackson and lead them on offense throughout the entire game.

Predicktion: Heat Hicks
Mystery Guest: Cocaine Cowboys

Ertz when Eifert (3-1) v Love Hurts (2-2)

Is Jordan Love back?
Matchup to Watch: Love v Murray... is Jordan Love really is back, and I mean like really back - this is a huge battle at the QB spot. Murray has a tough matchup against the 49ers defense and Love has a much easier matchup with the LAR defense. Murray poses a bigger threat scrambling and could rack up points with his legs. Love has playmakers and can rack up points by getting the ball out in space.
Ertz Favor: WRs... has been and always will be their favored spot. Jefferson will have to deal with Sauce Gardner this week, which could create some issues. However, DK and Zay have easier matchups and could easily outscore the opposing WRs on their own. They have big play potential and could see 20+ targets combined. This week is going to be reliant on the depth that Ertz has at WR.
Love Favor: MHJ... if you want to counteract an opposing QB, the best way to do that is to have the number 1 receiver on your side. Yes, MHJ has a tough matchup - but if Murray wants to move the ball against the 49ers defense, it is going to take MHJ to do it. I have to think that the Cardinals will not be able to stay in the game with just Murray and Connor running the ball.

Predicktion: Love Hurts
Mystery Guest: Love Hurts

ARBL (2-2) v Connor's Stalions (4-0)

Can the team stay undefeated?
Matchup to Watch: Hill v Aiyuk... you want to talk about players that are under performing. Hill is more due to QB issues and Aiyuk is just a big question mark. Both players have not scored more than 10 points in the past 3 weeks. Aiyuk has the bigger outlook with his matchup against Zona and still having his QB. If Miami can figure out how to use Hill and find ways to get him the ball in space, he could score points - but if you watched last week, Miami looks lost.
ARBL Favor: Kelce... you would think that he will return to form at some point. If you look at the Chiefs offense, Rashee Rice is now out - which opens up more target share for Kelce. Mahomes is going to throw the ball and at some point it has to start going Kelce's way. New Orleans like scoring points and so do the Chiefs, the ball has to go somewhere... is this Kelce's week?
Stalions Favor: The entire team... I HATE to say it, but this is a solid team - probably the team to beat. As long there are no injuries, this lineup is tuff!! You have the number 1 fantasy QB... shockingly to me. You have decent RBs and a solid group of WR's lead by Nico Collins - the number 2 WR. You have Brock Bowers at TE... number 3 in the position. You hate to see it, but this team is either looking like the team to beat or they are prematurely blowing their load.

Predicktion: Connor's Stalions
Mystery Guest: Connor's Stalions

Ankle Holster (3-1) v MAYEday (1-3)

Opposites attract
Matchup to Watch: Chase v Reed... these two receivers have been heating up as the season progresses. Chase was a no brainer, the Bengals have a reputation for taking a while to get going. Chase is averaging over 20 points in the past two week, but this week will be a big test with Baltimore. Reed, who now has his QB back, is looking to continue off the big week last week where he scored 27 points. These two could go a long way in terms of the winner in this matchup.
Ankle Favor: RBs... as these two teams matchup, there is a clearcut favorite in terms of running backs. I would personally take all 3 Holster RB's before I would take one of MAYE's RBs. These three players could each have a big week and could help secure the win this week, keeping Holster near the top of the division.
MAYE Favor: Chicago... that is weird to say. Chicago has Carolina this week and even though the Panthers have gotten better, it has not been on the offensive side of the ball. Moore and Swift combined for 40+ points last week against the LAR defense and will look to have a repeat week again. Swift should touch the ball 15-20 times and Moore should get 8-10 targets.

Predicktion: Ankle Holster
Mystery Guest: Ankle Holster

The J-Bones (2-2) v Bootay Pirates (0-4)

Don't be the first
Matchup to Watch: Henry v Taylor... in a matchup that is much closer than the records show, these two RB's go a long way in determining who will win this week. It really comes down to two questions...
A) Can Henry have a repeat performance?
B) Is Indy going to trust Taylor to put the game away in the 2nd half?
J-Bones Favor: Odd Point Scorers... outside of Derek Henry, a lot of the names in this lineup are not household names. Yes, there is Dak - but he has not looked super stellar, only once scoring more than 20 points. Long Tooth Harris looks like he has no burst left in the legs. Shaheed and Johnson are scoring points, but let's be honest - nobody expected it. Yet, somehow these players are performing - is this the best GM performance? The J-Bones is scoring points with players that people don't normally score with.
Bootay Favor: RBs... Taylor and Walker are both coming off good-to-great performances and will be looking to keep that going with the matchups they have. Taylor has J-ville, who looks lost as a team, and this could be a game where Indy relies on Taylor to put the game away in the 2nd half. Walker has the Giants - another team that can't stop the run. Walker is coming off a 30+ point performance last week and now he gets the Giants? Yikes.

Predicktion: Bootay Pirates
Mystery Guest: The J-Bones

Cleveland Streamers (1-3) v Pendulous TD's (2-2)

Tech vs Titties
Matchup to Watch: Richardson v Etienne... both of these players have really yet to hit their stride this season. AR has not broken 10 fantasy points in the past 3 weeks and Etienne is ho-hummily averaging just above 10 points a week. These two face-off in real life, which is a good thing for both offensive players. Indy's defense has looked pitiful when it comes to stopping the run. Etienne is in line for a big week - if he can stay healthy. AR should have a nice bounce back week after facing a tough Pittsburgh defense last week.
Streamers Favor: No Defense... I am sure by the time the games roll around, there will be a defense put in place - but maybe it is a strategy? If you are looking at the defenses on the waiver wire - it might be better to just hold on to your bench players and avoid a chance at negative points for the defense. There are already plenty of "questionable" injury tags in the starting lineup and keeping the bench players ready for fill-in might be more important than having a defense.
Titties Favor: RB Matchups... Etienne was already highlighted in the Matchup to Watch portion - looking like it could be a nice week for the J-Ville RB. Achane looked as lost as the rest of the Miami offense. The issue is that teams can now just crowd the box and dare Miami to try and throw the ball with Snoop D-O-Double G at QB. Achane should have a much better game against the New England defense. Look for both of these RBs to have nice bounce back weeks.

Predicktion: Pendulous TD's
Mystery Guest: Cleveland Streamers

As always, I wish everyone good luck - except for you, Cocaine Cowboys - may your entire lineup be forced to watch a WNBA game filled with layups, passing, dribbling, and more layups!

Week 4 Results

Not gonna lie, the past 48 hours have been a whirlwind for me... from feeling like death and having some respiratory virus/bacteria/sh*t in the lungs... whatever it is. I was unable to really breath or move. I couldn't really eat anything. I tried to come to school on Monday... couldn't make it out of the kitchen. Didn't really have the energy to eat anything (kind of contradictory isn't it?). I ended up sitting in a sauna and sweating out whatever it was. In the end, I lost close to 10 pounds - who knew sperm was that heavy?

Sadly, if it meant a win in fantasy football - I would do it all again. Without a thought, cause eff it... I WANT TO WIN!! My son is in a fantasy football league and he lost by .12 points this week, and I told him this morning and he said, "Whatever, I don't care." I came unglued. I hate that attitude. Then why are you even playing? If you don't care, don't play. In the end, he said he cared - he was just mad. Which is perfectly fine - be mad... but don't stop caring. Don't stop trying. You think when I was taking my last living breath on Sunday and Monday I stopped caring? Hell no, I just kept thinking about how I need to win this week.

Matchup of the Week
The J-Bones* (2-2) v The J-Bones 2.0 (3-1)

Talk about a MotW that finally lived up to the hype...
Matchup to Watch: Hubbard v Johnson... seriously, who would have thought that 2 Carolina players would be featured in the Matchup to Watch in the MotW??? And they both performed well... Johnson finished with 7 receptions/83 yards/1 touchdown and Hubbard finished with 104 rushing yards/1 touchdown/4 receptions. Hubbard on the battle... but a different RB won the war.
Players of Note: Holy King Henry... in case you missed it Henry started the game with a 85+ yard touchdown run. Yup, the King is back and Baltimore's running game is on point. Through the first two weeks of the season Henry totaled 27.2 points... combined. In each of the last two weeks, he has broken 30 points. On the flip side, 2.0's RB's is still solid (and probably top dawgs).... but it seems like Barkley needs the Philly receivers to be healthy to help counteract the opposing defenses.

Heat Hicks (1-3) v ARBL (2-2)

Finally....
Matchup to Watch: Dobbins v Odunze... first off, neither player looked fantastic. However, Dobbins did outscore Odunze by 7.2 points and the final outcome was less than 6 points away. To say this was a key matchup, would be an understatement. Something else happened this week, that also swayed the outcome of this week...
Players of Note: Malik Nabers.... what a pick-up it was for Heat Hicks to grab a player of Nabers caliber. Of course, he gets knocked out, but he did more than his part to get the win. There are a lot of issues on the team, but he may be one of the few strong points. On the flip side, Hill is becoming a Player of Note - but not for a positive side of things. He is really struggling with Miami not deciding grab a decent QB in Tua's absent.

MAYEday (1-3) v Connor's Stalions (4-0)

The rich get richer...
Matchup to Watch: Jennings v Aiyuk... are the 49ers really just that confusing? Given, they played a terrible New England team - but how do these guys on combine to score 18.6 points? Even more so, how does Aiyuk only score 6.8 points? No clue, color me confused. Luckily, Stalions doesn't really need it and if Aiyuk becomes a stud this team might be damn near unbeatable.
Players of Note: Collins has emerged as the true stallion of the stable in Houston. Even with all the weapons the Texans brought in... the answer was always Collins. On top of that, Jayden Daniels is now the number 1 fantasy QB - who would have thought? Not this guy. I also can't go without mentioning something about Swift - who finally had the breakout performance that Chicago was hoping for. Truthfully, Swift may be where the offense needs to look if it wants to be successful. This could be something to look forward in the future.

Predicktion: Connor's Stalions... RIGHT!!

Bootay Pirates (0-4) v Love Hurts (2-2)

The poor get poorer...
Matchup to Watch: Taylor v Williams.... This matchup came within .6 points. Both players touched the ball 20+ times and both players looked like the main focus of the offense. Rightfully so, these players are what these teams rely on. This is going to be a continuing trend for these players - the issue is whether or not Pirates, can hold on to Taylor? He may need to trade away him to gather more valuable pieces in return.
Players of Note: Jordan Love is back and that is a big sign for all Packers sign. He looked rusty in the beginning and then finally got it going and almost completed the comeback. Having Love back really helps the lineup and solidifies the QB problem. On the flip side, having Walker III back really helps and in more ways than one. He is a solid RB1 when healthy and finished as the 2nd leading scorer of the week. Which really should show you... maybe you need a little depth if you want to win in this league.

Cocaine Cowboys (1-3) v Ertz when Eifert (3-1)

Extra, Extra, Read all about it...
Matchup to Watch: To say that Lamar Jackson is making a case as the NFL MVP is an understatement. Many believed that Josh Allen was the favorite, but maybe not so fast. Jackson made his case and made it loudly. Not only that, but he also showed fantasy owners that he is a top QB and especially better than Murray.
Players of Note: In order to pull off the upset, you need players that are scoring. Cowboys had 6 players score 15+ points this week, and 3 of those players came on MNF. It was a huge win and something that will be talked about for ages. On the flip side, not only lost - they scored the 2nd fewest points of the week. They have valuable pieces and it may just be a fluke - but if this trend continues, maybe there might some moves in the future.

Pendulous TD's (2-2) v Ankle Holster (3-1)

It was always the third leg over the titties... signs, signs.
Matchup to Watch: Hall v Achane... these guys suck. What is crazier is that Achane was a top tier RB in the first two weeks. Down goes Tua and down goes Achane. Opposing teams no longer care about the likes of Hill and Waddle and they are just loading up the box and shutting down Achane. On the flip side, there is no reason why Hall is performing like he is. Either A) Denver is really just that good on defense... doubtful or B) The NYJets are just not as dominant on offense as they should be.
Players of Note: Jayden Reed is going to have a much better year the more Jordan Love plays. Reed is one of the top playmakers in Green Bay and if Love really is the million dollar man... he is going to find his big-time playmakers. On the flip side, Wan'Dale is becoming a valuable WR2 in New York. They find themselves needing to throw the ball in order to stay in games and that creates opportunity.

Cleveland Streamers (1-3) v PEN15 Wrinkle (3-1)

Color me surprised...
Matchup to Watch: London v Olave... Both receivers had a good week, not great - but definitely serviceable. Both these receivers are a mystery, why are they scoring like top level receivers? Both teams have QBs who have enjoyed throwing the ball... but something is just not clicking with the receivers. Both of these receivers have the talent level to be in the top 10 of receivers and yet they both sit in the middle of the pack of WR2's in fantasy.
Players of Note: Jordan Mason and Justice Hill. Let's all be completely honest with ourselves... who would have thought that these two players would be what they are? Mason is a complete 3-down back fill-in for CMC and he is currently sitting at RB 5. Hill is the backup to King Henry and is the clear receiving back for Baltimore (even though Henry caught a touchdown this week). CeeDee and Evans need help with the Streamers... they are performing like top players but there is no support for them.
