Week 6 Results

Yup, not gonna lie - I am writing this one during our favorite day of the year.... Parent Teacher Conference combined with Professional Development. Don't get me wrong, I am trying to get it done before the TBRI training... I wouldn't want to miss any healthy touching! Who isn't on the edge of their seat right now? You know what we need?

Covid Parent Teacher Conferences.

That was actually the best day. No parents allowed to come in, "phone calls" to be made and just a day of hanging with the bros. Yup, I like those kind of Parent Teacher Conference. Now, don't get me wrong - I am fine some parents... specifically the moms. Who doesn't love a good confused mom that has no clue what is happening with her child. Just makes me think, "Are that busy with OnlyFans to miss out on what your child is doing in school?"

Matchup of the Week
Connor's Stallion (5-1) v The J-Bones 2.0 (5-1)

Battle at the top...
Matchup to Watch: Daniels v Stroud... turned out to be a pretty close battle. Stroud looked amazing in the first half and then just as Houston tends to do, they let their foot off the gas in the 2nd half. Daniels truly didn't look great (as he has looked), but he still managed to score 20 points this week. That is huge for that to happen, on an off week that Daniels can still score 20 points.
Players of Note: Chris Godwin is becoming Baker's favorite target in Tampa. He is seeing an average of 10 targets per week... which is a ton of opportunity at the wide receiver role. Godwin is now the number 1 ranked WR and is looking like a stud. This could be a preview of the championship battle for the league... round 1 goes to The J-Bones 2.0.

Predicktion: The J-Bones 2.0... RIGHT!!

Bootay Pirates (2-4) v Heat Hicks (1-5)

Battle at the bottom...
Matchup to Watch: Well, in the battle to watch (Bijan v Mooney/Pitts), Bijan finally had the big game. The issue then became that no one else decided to show up. It is not often that a player in the Matchup to Watch wins against 2 players and the team still loses. This was a big matchup for both teams... going 2-4 v 1-5 is a huge difference.
Players of Note: Walker got things going for Bootay on TNF and Lazard finished things off on MNF. It was tough to watch the end of the 1st half on the MNF game and watch Lazard come down with a 50-yard hail mary for a touchdown, essentially a 12 point play. Yup, that is fantastic. Lazard has probably been one of the best 2nd options in the NFL... the comfortability with Rodgers has really shown.

Ankle Holster (4-2) v ARBL (2-4)

Big trade, still no win...
Matchup to Watch: Reed v McLaurin... McLaurin was a big trade and pick-up for ARBL. He goes out and scores 20+ points for his team, 2nd only to the TE Kmet (who was a key reason why the team felt safe trading away Kelce). On the flip side, Reed looks like a playmaker in the Packers offense... just not his turn to have the multiple touchdown games. He is going to keep having steady games mixed in with big games!
Players of Note: Want to know what the best time for your top players to play? MNF. There is no better feeling than being down 45+ points going into MNF and having Josh Allen/Breece Hall/Tyler Bass go out and score nearly 50+ points. It would be terrible to lose on an explosion of points on a MNF and have your NFL team get toyed with by an NFC foe. The Detroit Lions were lining up offensive tackles at wide receivers and they were flea-flicking their way throughout the game. Rough.

Love Hurts (3-3) v The J-Bones (3-3)

Middle of the Pack Battle...
Matchup to Watch: Dell v AJ Brown... not that it would have mattered... but got to be questioning why Dell was removed from the lineup. He is the top guy in an offense that wants to score... at least Ray-Ray showed out... ohhhh wait. But like I said, it wouldn't have mattered - AJ Brown scored 23 points and was one of 6 players to score more than 18 points. Talk about running into a buzzsaw.
Players of Note: For Love Hurts, Deebo and Kittle had good games - which is something that we might see more of. Jordan Love is back in form and he looks in complete control of that offense. They do get Kyren Williams back off the bye, which will help fill that lineup out. On the flip side, The J-Bones had a big week (BELT WEEK!!), wild that Dak Prescott is the lowest scoring player for them. Dak and the Cowboys looked completely lost, but everyone else came out and got a much needed win.

Ertz when Eifert (4-2) v PEN15 Wrinkle (3-3)

Big when for the farter...
Matchup to Watch: Metcalf v Mason... talk about a swing and a miss on the Matchup to Watch, neither player broke 10 points. For Mason, it would be due to an injury... but Metcalf never really got going. Typically, these players are the focus of the offenses - not be had this week.
Players of Note: Uhhhhh... Fields/Montgomery/Mixon/Flowers had big weeks and all scored more than 20 points. The rest of the players on the Ertz lineup didn't score 20 points combined. On the flip side, Wilson had a big week. The Jets should have won that game, unfortunately Cue Ball Zuerlein forgot how to kick a football. The other Player to Note... Olave, who finished with -.5 points????? Yes, he got injured - but it is still crazy that he finished with negative points. Not often you see that out of a wide receiver.

MAYEday (2-4) v Cleveland Streamers (3-3)

Good teams, good battle...
Matchup to Watch: Streamers won the battle of the WR's... Streamers won the war. Lamb/Evans/London performed below their projected output.... but they still managed to beat out the boys for MAYEday. DJ Moore and Kirk struggled with the London weather... don't ever trust a football played in England.
Players of Note: Nobody really stands out... except 1 players - Tyrone Tracy Jr. The past two games for the Giants he has averaged 18 points per week. If I were the Giants, I might just let him start over Singletary. Drake London has been the opposite of the London Games - he has played well. He is now the 5th ranked WR... and he will look to continue the hot start with lots of fairly comfy matchups in the future.

Predicktion: MAYEday... WRONG!!
Mystery Guest: Cleveland Streamers... RIGHT!!

Cocaine Cowboys (3-3) v Pendulous TD's (2-4)

The fight for .500
Matchup to Watch: Lamar v Burrow... a good battle that stayed with 1 fantasy point. Jackson presents so much value with everything he does for Baltimore. Burrow has so many weapons and can the Cincy offense can strike quick. Both players led their fantasy team - which is a good thing (because they are good at football) and a bad thing (because they didn't score more than 20 points).
Players of Note: Etienne... this is a player that I do not fully understand what is happening with him. Yes, he is dealing with an injury - but he was a top RB last year. Going into this year, he should have been a top RB.... now? He is outside the top 30 RB's and he might not even be the best RB on the Jags roster. On the flip side, if you want a RB that is going to score well just start the RB going against Indianapolis.
