Holy Sh*t!
Josh Allen just hurdled another defender. Anybody want to start a pool for how long it takes for Allen to get hurt if he keeps making plays like that?
Anyways, on to the real frank and beans.
White Condomints (2-1) v Robert 3-Woods (2-1)
This is a matchup that could potentially launch one of these teams into the upper tier of "teams to beat."
On one side you have a loaded wide receiver front, Hopkins/AB, and on the other you have Adams/Fuller. As big as the names are for White Condomints, they have actually been outperformed by Fuller/Adams on an average per game basis. WC has got to be hoping that will change this week. Robert 3-Woods will be watching the Thursday Night Football game closely to see if his defense and his namesake can live up to expectations. Short week? Who cares it is the Los Angeles Rams - they make everybody look bad.
The real issue that Robert 3-Woods will need to watch is his quarterback situation. Does he just say, "Screw it" and start Carson Wentz, or does he try and wait it out to see if Fitzpatrick gets the nod again. Personally, I think that Tampa Bay should start Fitzpatrick - but I worry he will not be playing as loose as he has when Winston was suspended. If I were Robert 3-Woods I would just start Wentz - or would I? I mean do you even read what I am saying anyways? Wentz will have a big week, or will he? Fitzpatrick will have a big week, or will he? Am I confusing you yet? Am I confusing myself yet?
My Prediction: White Condomints wins
Mike McCarthy is Gay (0-3) v Prible is my B**ch (1-2)
Everything could change this week for MMIG - that is fantasy football. However, smart money says that PIMB is going to get it done. Wait a second....
THIS IS A BATTLE OF THE ACRONYMS!!!
Which acronyms is better? Screw the actual fantasy teams and who has the better players, I am picking this matchup based upon the acronyms. Even though, Prible is my B**ch should no longer be his name (see week 2's matchup) - PIMB just sounds better than MMIG. Maybe it is just me, maybe it is because it is close to "pimp" - either way, PIMB it is!
My Prediction: Prible is my B**ch wins
Mr. Rodgers Neighborhood (2-1) v Hoosier Daddy (2-1)
Cousins looked awful against the Buffalo Bills - his reward? A short week agains the Los Angeles Rams. Luckily for Cousins, the Rams secondary suffered multiple injuries to their secondary. This week could be a pass heavy offensive plan for Minnesota. Bernard also has a very nice matchup this week. Atlanta just gave up major points to Alvin Kamara last week - the best pass catching running back. Bernard is not Kamara, but their playing style are extremely similar.
However, it always comes down to this: Does Todd Gurley still play football for the Los Angeles Rams? Yes. Okay then.
My Prediction: Hoosier Daddy wins
Steady Diet (3-0) v Team Dez Nuts (2-1)
Somebody tell my picture taker to get his mouse out of the way!!!
Alvin Kamara is playing like a man possessed. He probably has those same demon eyes that Fitzpatrick flashed last week against the Steelers...
Tyreek Hill managed to earn me "dolla, dolla bill - ya'll" by proving to live up to his boom or bust name. I will take it in nickels! He still has the chance to explode any given week. However, as good as Steady Diet has been, he starting Jack Doyle at tight end?? Maybe Chuck Clay or Jake Butt will make an appearance - maybe he will try and swing a trade with Team Dez Nuts?
Dez Nuts is rolling out two tight ends in his starting line up. The last team to do that in this league? Waco Kids (2017) - which coincidentally went on the win the league and the proud owner was the same owner as.... wait for it... Steady Diet! If Dez Nuts can get any point value out the running back position - he could lean heavily on his tight ends and knock Steady Diet off the undefeated train.
My Prediction: Team Dez Nuts with the upset!
Sagging TD's (1-2) v Hernandez Hit Men (3-0)
Which team has two starting running backs this week? Hernandez Hit Men
Which team has the fiery hot Patrick Mahomes this week? Hernandez Hit Men
Which team has yet to score under 140 points in a given week? Hernandez Hit Men
Well, that is enough for me...
My Prediction: Hernandez Hit Men
Col. Erran Morad (0-3) v I AM STUPID (2-1)
We have a matchup between one team that has yet to get a win and one team that is absolutely loaded with mediocre wide receivers (clearly joking, or am I? Yes, yes I am). Morad is going to get a win sometime this year, just probably not this week. Roethlisberger has been on a tear the last two weeks. Each week he has thrown for three touchdowns - this week he is going to throw for four touchdowns, mark it down!! Howard and Robinson have a great matchup this week against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers - who consistently find themselves in shootouts. Will I AM STUPID's mediocre wide receivers able to pull out the win this week? Do you even need me to answer that?
My Prediction: I AM STUPID
Matchup of the Week
ImPickingARod @5SucItBob (0-3) v The J-Bones (1-2)
Why is this the Matchup of the Week? Wwwwweelllllll, this is the week that we @5SucItBob gets their first win!
QB - Rodgers v Stafford
Rodgers is back home. However, he does have a bum knee and looked to struggle with his movement. However, after what I watched in week one - I will never pick against Rodgers. Or will I? Stafford might have the deepest receiving corps of any NFL team. All three receivers (Tate, Jones Jr., Golladay) have the potential hit the 1,000 yard mark. Still - it is freakin' Aaron Rodgers.
RB - Elliott/Collins v Conner/Smallwood
As good as Elliott is - Smallwood might have had the week of his life in week three. Will this trend continue? I highly doubt it. Smallwood probably earned himself a few touches this week, but I would not want to rely on him week-in and week-out. Thanks a lot Le'Veon Bell. Advantage has to go to Elliott/Collins
WR - Cooper/Cooks v Allen/Crabtree
Amari Cooper is consistently getting out "targeted" by Jorts-y Nelson. Cooks is good, but he is only one option in an offense that has many. On the flip side, Keenan Allen is a stud wide receiver with a quarterback who loves to chuck the football. Crabtree is the possession receiver for Baltimore and will get plenty of targets this week. Advantage Allen/Crabtree
TE - Goedert v Seals-Jones
Right now, @5SucItBob has Reed in - but he is on a bye week and Goedert is on his bench. Honestly, this is the tight end position and neither team has a stud TE - so flip a coin. No advantage for either side.
FLEX - Garcon v Cole
This is another one of those flip a coin battles. I would normally give the edge to Garcon, but with Handsome Jimmy out for the season Garcon will need to rely on Beat-hard to get him the ball. Cole might have made the catch of the season in week two - but other than that the Jacksonville offense has struggled to get him the football. Slight advantage to Garcon - but who really knows with this one.
DST/K - Texans/Gostkowski v Vikings/Lutz
This is actually a good matchup. The Texans defense has looked lost the past couple weeks - and they were matchups that the defense should have absolutely dominated. The Vikings defense have the Los Angeles Rams, right after getting obliterated by Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills. Kickers are pretty close as well, Gostkowski is money and Lutz is on a high powered offense. Advantage to Vikings/Lutz - only because of the Saints offense.
My Prediction: ImPickingARod @5SucItBob
