Final Week Predictions

Yessssss, it is finally here! The final week of the regular season. Hopefully you checked out the scenarios and followed along with what all could play out. If your team had a 100% beside it.... Welcome to the Playoffs! If you team did not, you still have some work to do. Which brings us to our matchups.....

White Condomints v OSCARMEYER WEINERLOVER

In a matchup that really has no effect on who is in the playoffs or who is out of the playoffs - this is something that does not need to be closely watched.

White Condomints can not really move up into first and they have a very slim chance to move down - as they would also have to be outscored by 100 points from the team in 3rd place. However, WeinerLover can shuffle around and move between 5th and 6th place. That does not sound like a big difference - but it is the difference between what side of the bracket they are on.

WeinerLover will be hoping that Thomas and Diggs can have big weeks and carry the load in terms of points. Having a healthy Gronkowski will help shoulder the need for points, and it will all be needed as White Condomints has not scored less than 125 points since week one. Look for Brown, Hopkins, and Hunt to carry this team to the post season.

Prediction: White Condomints

The Trashmen v Col. Erran Morad

Col. Morad is already knocked out of the playoffs and The Trashmen are fighting for a position. The Trashmen will be needing Adams and Ertz to keep up their stellar play in order to pull off the victory. Richard is the pass catching running back in Oakland - and he is matched up in a game that will create plenty of opportunity for his ability. Will it be enough?

Col. Morad should take pride in his chance to knock a team out of the playoffs. He can easily move Mike Davis up to replace the suspended Fournette and insert whoever he wants in the FLEX. Unfortunately, without Fournette in the lineup - this team is going to be relying on a few players that have been extremely inconsistent. Look for The Trashmen to take down this victory and make the push for the playoffs extremely interesting.

Prediction: The Trashmen

Steady Diet v Sagging TD's

Steady Diet is already locked in the playoffs and Sagging TD's is already locked out of the playoffs.

To be completely honest, this matchup is extremely boring - and everyone already knows what is going to happen this week...

Prediction: Steady Diet

Mike McCarthy is Gay v Mr. Rodgers Neighborhood

Mike McCarthy is Gay is already eliminated from contention and Mr. Rodgers Neighborhood is already in the playoffs. However, this is the battle of team names - is Mr. Rodgers Neighborhood going to let his opponent slander their team's head coach?

MMIG has a team that recently handed out a tough loss to another team in the playoff race - and don't look now, but they might be making it two in a roll. Thielen has been extremely consistent, with a slight drop as of late. However, Edelman and Brady make a nice stack and it has been working very well for MMIG.

Unfortunately, Mr. Rodgers has the 2nd best running back in fantasy football - Barkley. Barkley is one of two playmakers for the NYGiants, and he has been touching the ball all season long. James White also has turned into the go to running back for Brady. Hilton is a player whose performance can really take off. He will have a tough matchup this week, against the Jacksonville Jaguars - but Luck trusts Hilton and will be looking to get him the ball.

Prediction: Mr. Rodgers Neighborhood

Prible is my Bitch v Hoosier Daddy

PIMB is already in the playoff, but he is a position to keep Hoosier Daddy and his stallion running back - Todd Gurley - out of the playoffs. We all know what happened last season with Gurley in the Fantasy Football Playoffs.

PIMB will be relying on Watson, his two stud receivers, and the rookie running back (Lindsay). PIMB has one of the strongest looking teams on paper and he will be looking to make his mark this week against Hoosier Daddy.

Hoosier Daddy has been "up and down" with the play of Mike Evans. Gurley has been dominate and the recent play of Jones has given Hoosier Daddy an extremely deadly running back tandem. People also should not sleep on Josh Adams - who has recently become Philly's running back of choice. If Hoosier Daddy can get anything out of Evans, Fitz, or Olsen - he should be in good position. But will he?

Prediction: PIMB

Team Dez Nuts v Hernandez Hit Men

Team Dez Nuts really needs to win this week against the top team in the league. Hernandez Hit Men could sit half of his players and still finish first overall.

However, Dez Nuts could win this week and show the world that Hernandez Hit Men is not invincible. Luck has a tough matchup against Jacksonville - but we are still talking about Andrew Luck. Miller exploded last week, with the help of a 97 yard touchdown run. Between that and the 97 yard touchdown reception from JuJu - Dez Nuts was feeling good. They will be hoping they can get that same performance.

HHM will be sitting back easy and enjoying this week - as it does not matter for him. However, he could also knock out Dez Nuts and watch McCaffrey and Chubb run through the opposing defenses. The biggest downfall will always be Tate and Landry and if they can actually pull their weight. Luckily for HHM it hasn't really been needed, because of the terrific play from his running backs. Will the injury to Melvin Gordon prove to be deadly?

Prediction: Team Dez Nuts

Matchup of the Week
The J-Bones v Grau's Beeyatch

In the only matchup between two teams that need to win and both have a chance at the playoffs - things will get interesting this week.

QB - Stafford v Rodgers
Both of these quarterbacks have struggled these past few weeks. Stafford will need to put together a decent week. Rodgers has the better matchup, and he is the better quarterback. Advantage Rodgers

RB - Conner/Coleman v Elliott/Collins
Elliott is the best running back in this matchup. Conner and Coleman make up the best duo. Conner has been fantastic this season and has shown that Bell is not needed and no matter who the Pittsburgh Steelers throw-in at running back, they will be able to perform. Coleman has taken over the role for Atlanta and will need to be helpful in terms of scoring points. Advantage Conner/Coleman

WR - Allen/Ridley v Jeffery/Sanders
Allen is the best wide receiver in this matchup; however, Ridley has a really tough against Baltimore's defense. On the flip side, Jeffery has been very inconsistent and has struggled as of lately. Sanders has been Denver's top wide receiver all season long, even before they trade D. Thomas. Sanders has a good matchup against Cincy - who has struggle to maintain wide receivers. Advantage Jeffery/Sanders

TE - Reed v Rudolpho
Jordan Reed has quietly been a terrific option for Washington. However, with the loss of Smith - Reed's productive may take a hit. Although, he is probably still going to outscore Rudolph... who has been quiet without the production this season. Rudolph is a clear cut 3rd option behind Diggs and Theilen and with Dalvin Cook returning from injury - it just moves Rudolph down a little further. Advantage Reed

FLEX - Mack v Cooper
Everybody saw what Amari Cooper did on Thanksgiving day. The explosion of points was ridiculous and probably helped many teams win last week. However, that is an anomaly more than an expectation. Mack has been in concussion protocol this week and could see his touches drop because of it. Look for The J-Bones to replace Mack with Breida - who has been playing phenomenally. Advantage Breida

D/K - Steelers/Lutz v Chargers/Gostkowski
Lutz is a kicker who is one of the highest scoring teams in NFL history. He has a clear advantage over Gostkowski. The more interesting aspect of this matchup is the defenses - who actually play each other in real life! As it stands, Chargers are slightly more talented - but then so is the Steelers offense. This would be very interesting if left untouched. I will give the edge to the kicker..... Lutz.

Prediction: The J-Bones

Race to the Postseason

Who doesn't love a good race? I know I do, except when it is NASCAR. I just can't get over the constant turning and no real lead changes. Did you know the average NASCAR race only changes leads 17 times. That may sounds like a lot, but considering well over half of those are due to pit-stops and car malfunctions - there is not a whole lot of action taking place.

On the flip side, we have teams jostling in and out of the playoff picture all season long. Yes, we have had our teams that were constantly at the bottom - those are like the women trying to make it big in NASCAR. I just want to yell out, "Listen ladies, it ain't going to happen!" Same to you Sagging TD's, Col. Erran Morad, and Mike McCarthy is Gay! These teams were all knocked out of the playoff pictures weeks ago - yet in the past three weeks two of these teams have managed to beat another team in the playoff push.... crush those dreams boys!!!

Then you also have your teams that have been locked in the playoffs for essentially midway through the season (Hernandez Hit Men, Steady Diet, White Condomints) - these are the top dogs of NASCAR the Earnhardts, Stewarts, and Gordons. But the racers, the ones trying to make the postseason - that is where the fun is at...

1. Hernandez Hit Men - 100%

Hernandez Hit Men have looked dominate all the way through the season. They also are virtually a lock for the title of Regular Season Champs. The only way they can lose that spot, IF....

Hernandez Hit Men lose, White Condomints wins - and WC outscores HHM by 90 points.

It has been a good run for HHM and he did all by never trading a single player.

"X" Factor: Melvin Gordon's injury

2. White Condomints - 100%

White Condomints is known around many circles as the "Crooked Commissioner" - old "Double C" some of his friends call him. Yet, he hasn't broken any rules? Odd, to call someone crooked if they have done anything wrong? Anywho, White Condomint has virtually locked himself into 2 seed in the playoffs - he can move up with the above scenario and he can move down by.....

White Condomints loses, Steady Diet wins and outscores WC by 95 points.

It has been a good run for WC, last year the trades didn't work in his favor - this year they did (I guess it is your turn next year Nut Boy)!

"X" Factor: Quarterback decisions and outcomes

3. Steady Diet - 100%

Steady Diet has looked better as we enter the final regular season week. The injury to AJ Green has really destroyed his wide receiving corps - nonetheless he still does tout players who at any given moment can score 40+ points. Steady Diet has had the most 40 point performances, with 4 (the rest of the league combined had 2). Steady Diet also put up the 2nd most 30 point performances - second only to Hernandez Hit Men. Steady Diet is locked into the playoffs - but could lose his position at number 3, IF

Steady Diet loses, Mr. Rodgers' Neighborhood wins and outscores SD by 13 points.

4. Mr. Rodgers Neighborhood - 100%

Mr. Rodgers Neighborhood has looked good and much of that is thanks to his risky decision to take Saquon Barkley with the 7th overall pick. The rookies has performed above expectations, performing as the current 3rd player overall. Barkley is the 2nd overall running back, behind Gurley. This was a risky decision that has panned out extremely well - guess you didn't need to make a trade with Dez Nuts after all! Mr. Rodgers is guaranteed a playoff spot, but he could move up or down....

Up, IF...

Steady Diet loses, Mr. Rodgers' Neighborhood wins and outscores SD by 13 points.

Down, IF....

Rodgers Neighborhood loses, and WeinerLover wins and outscores him by 86 points or if PIMB wins and outscores him by 79 points

"X" Factor: Saquon Barkley continuing this type of performance

5. Prible is my B*tch - 100%

PIMB clenched their playoff berth with last week's win over WeinerLover. This roster looks extremely good on paper - having two of the top tier wide receivers and also one of the most surprising rookies running backs (Lindsay). However, the biggest surprise is the FLEX play of Tyler Boyd. Boyd was added from the waivers by PIMB and is currently the 15 ranked wide receiver. With the combination of Boyd and Lindsay (who was also added from waivers and is currently the 11 ranked running back) PIMB might have just earned themselves the "Waiver Watcher" badge. They are locked in the playoffs, but their position can jostle....

Up, IF

PIMB wins, Rodgers Neighborhood loses and PIMB outscores RN by 79 points and also is not outscored by a winning WeinerLover.

Down, IF

PIMB loses, WeinerLover wins or outscores PIMB by 8 points

or

PIMB loses, Dez Nuts wins and outscores PIMB by 40 points

"X" Factor: Lindsay and Boyd continuing their above and beyond play

6. OSCARMEYER WEINERLOVER - 100%

Weinerlover has gone through the most team name changes - and who could fault them? It is never a good thing when your first team name change is to "I AM STUPID." WeinerLover was apart of the trade that almost separated The Beatles; the trade that was the reason for WWII; the trade that cause the Rocky v Drago fight; the trade that sent many single mothers, working third shift into a downward spiral towards the pit of Hell. The Trade will always be remembered - yet somehow WeinerLover was able to recover and still swindle his way into the playoffs, but he still can move around....

Up, IF....

WeinerLover wins, Rodgers Neighborhood loses and WeinerLover outscores RN by 86 points, and also outscores PIMB by 8 points

or

WL wins, PIMB loses

or

WL wins, PIMB wins - but WL outscores PIMB by 8 points

Down, IF....

WL loses, Dez Nuts wins - and outscores WL by 30 points

"X" Factor: A healthy Gronk

7. Team Dez Nuts - 40%

Team Dez Nuts finds himself in a interesting position. Currently, sitting inside the playoff cut-off but not by a favorable margin of any means. Team Dez Nuts made a few gigantic trades - some not in his favor. Many people will point to the trade made with White Condomints, however the trade was not as slanted as you might think....

Brown v JuJu - 224 points (Brown) and 209 points (JuJu)

Luck v Hunt - 240 points (Luck) and 230 points (Hunt)

Gronk/Thompson v Ingram - 104 points (Gronk/Thompson) and 98 points (Ingram)

Doesn't seem that uneven to me - but hey, that is just one guy's opinion.

Dez Nuts is in the playoffs now - but that could change this week....

In, IF....

Team Dez Nuts wins

or

Team Dez Nuts loses and....
2 of the following teams win - Hoosier Daddy, Trashmen, Grau's Beeyatch
These three teams and and Team Dez Nuts would then be in a tie and it would come down to points.

Dez Nuts is trailing both Hoosier Daddy and Trashmen in points - but only by 8 points.

"X" Factor: Dez Nuts is going to need some big point this week - a win is not looking likely against HHM

8. Hoosier Daddy - 35%

Hoosier Daddy has been in the middle of the pack the entire season - mainly because of the up and down play of Mike Evans. Todd Gurley is the best running back in the NFL and Hoosier Daddy has been enjoying the steady play. However, Evans' performance has fluctuated and with it - so did Hoosier Daddy's performance.

Hoosier Daddy is currently the last team to make the playoffs, but there is a possibility he could find himself on the outside looking in - or moving up to avoid Hernandez Hit Men.

Up, IF....

Hoosier Daddy wins and Team Dez Nuts loses and HD doesn't get outscored by Nuts by 8 points.

Down, IF....

Hoosier Daddy wins and can not win the tie breaker between Team Dez Nuts and a winning Trashmen and Grau's Beeyatch.

or

Hoosier Daddy loses and Trashmen and Grau's Beeyatch win

or

Hoosier Daddy loses and can not win the tie breaker between a losing Trashmen and Grau's Beeyatch

"X" Factor: Mike Evans

9. The Trashmen - 30%

The Trashmen find themselves just outside the playoffs, but only by 1 point. The Trashmen have lived off of the play of Davante Adams and Zach Ertz. Both players are on respective teams that have constantly found themselves playing catchup - which is good for the receiving threats. This week The Trashmen have a good matchup - but they do not control their own destiny....

In, IF....

The Trashmen win, Hoosier Daddy wins but Trashmen outscore HD by 2 points
The Trashmen lose, Hoosier Daddy lose by Trashmen outscore HD by 2 point
The Trashmen win, Hoosier Daddy lose

"X" Factor: Adams and Ertz

10. Grau's Beeyatch - 20%

Grau's Beeyatch has been leaning heavily on his tandem of Cowboys players Elliott and Cooper. Cooper had a huge game last week - which was perfect timing for Grau's Beeyatch. Elliott has been steady all season long, but this week he is needed more than ever.

In, IF....

Grau's Beeyatch win, The Trashmen and Hoosier Daddy lose
Grau's Beeyatch win, The Trashmen and Hoosier Daddy win - but Grau's Beeyatch outscores them by  30 points
Grau's Beeyatch lose, The Trashmen and Hoosier Daddy lose and Grau's Beeyatch outscore both them and The J-Bones

"X" Factor: Cooper having another big week!

11. The J-Bones - 10%

Even after a big loss last week - which really hurt the chances of The Jones to make the playoffs, he still has a chance. He will be relying on James Conner - the running back who was once traded for Jimmy Graham - and his continual play to carry the heavy lifting. With Conner leading the way, the supportive cast is going to have to perform well. There is still a chance for The J-Bones to make the playoffs - albeit by a slim margin....

In, IF....

The J-Bones win (which means that Grau's Beeyatch lost) and...

The Trashmen and Hoosier Daddy lose and The J-Bones outscore both teams by 3 points.

Luck would have it that Hoosier Daddy is matched up against PIMB and is projected to lose that matchup. The J-Bones are going to be watching Col. Erran Morad's team closely as he need Morad to pull off the upset and beat The Trashmen.

"X" Factor: Col. Erran Morad and Prible is my B*tch

All other teams will be working to try and beat these teams - I highly encourage you to attempt to ruin someone's season!

Be on the lookout for this week's predictions!

Week 11 Results

First off, let me just say - this past week's Monday Night Football game was by far the best game that I have watched in a long time. It had everything you could ask for in a game - long bomb touchdowns, broken play touchdowns, back-and-forth momentum swings, defensive touchdowns, and it had Riley Curry....

Nothing else you could wish for - except maybe a few outcomes that make the Fantasy Football "Race to the Playoffs" a little tighter....

Locks
1. Hernandez Hit Men: 10-1
2. White Condomints: 9-2
3. Steady Diet: 9-2
4. Mr. Rodgers Neighborhood: 7-4
5. OSCARMEYER WIENERLOVER: 7-4

The Race
6. Prible is my B*tch: 6-5
7. The Trashmen: 6-5
8. Hoosier Daddy: 6-5
9. Team Dez Nuts: 6-5
10. The J-Bones: 4-7
11. Grau's Beeyatch: 4-7

Out of the Running
12. Col. Erran Morad: 3-8
13. Mike McCarthy is Gay: 2-9
14. Sagging TD's: 1-10

As we go through this week's results we will breakdown each team's chances of making the playoffs...

White Condomints (9-2) v Mr. Rodgers Neighborhood (7-4)

With this win, Mr. Rodgers Neighborhood locks up a playoff berth. He can send all his thank you cards to Hilton and Barkley who completely dominated this past week.

Remaining Schedules....

Mr. Rodgers Neighborhood (100%) - The Trashmen, MMIG

This next week The Trashmen play against Mr. Rodgers Neighborhood and they could really use a win in this tight race. What a week it could be as the whole family gathers around the table and the older brother beats the younger brother - to be a Vanderkolk!

White Condomints (100%) - Sagging TD's, OSCARMEYER WIENERLOVER

Both of these teams are firmly locked in their positions - neither match-up really matters.

Result: Mr. Rodgers Neighborhood
Prediction: White Condomints.... WRONG!!
Competitors Prediction: Mr. Rodgers Neighborhood..... RIGHT!!

Col. Erran Morad (3-8) v Prible is my B*tch (6-5)

This was a big win for PIMB and the final nail in the coffin for Col. Morad. PIMB is going to be a scary team to matchup against, if he makes the playoffs. Jones and Beckham both have the ability to have an blow-up week which is scary to matchup against in the playoffs.

Remaining Schedules....

Col. Erran Morad (0%) - Team Dez Nuts, Team Trashmen

Even though Col. Morad is out of the playoffs himself - he still is heavily involved in the race. He plays two teams that are currently right in the thick of the race and he could easily wreak a little havoc on one teams playoffs hopes.

PIMB (35%) - OSCARMEYER WIENERLOVER, Hoosier Daddy

PIMB's remaining schedule is not the friendliest in terms of getting a win to solidify a position in the playoffs. He has to play WIENERLOVER, which is a team that is looking better and better every week. However, there is a good chance that the last week's matchup against Hoosier Daddy may decide the final place in the playoffs. Winning next week, would be huge - winning the last week, would be bigger!

Result: PIMB wins
Prediction: Col. Erran Morad.....WRONG!!
Competitors Prediction: PIMB.... RIGHT!!

Sagging TD's (1-10) v Team Dez Nuts (6-5)

I am disgusted - flat out disgusted. This will be the second time this season that Sagging TD's finds his name in the records books.... for lowest score in a week. Yikes - not to mention the fact that in the matchup between "titties" and "nuts" - nuts won, and that is not a world I want to live in!

Remaining Schedule....

Sagging TD's (0%) - White Condomints, Steady Diet

TD's are already out of the playoffs, and they play two teams that are locked into the playoffs - at this point the owner has to be thinking about what they are going to do in the offseason, and then do that now because the offseason is happening now.

Team Dez Nuts (25%) - Col. Erran Morad, Hernandez Hit Men

Dez Nuts does have a nice matchup against Col. Morad - which would put him at 7-5 and in a good position to get a spot in the playoffs. However, he may find himself in a tie for a position and in that case he would need another win (he doesn't have a lead in points) to get in and going against the top team in the league during the last week is not doing him any favors!

Result: Team Dez Nuts wins
Prediction: Team Dez Nuts wins.....RIGHT
Competitors Prediction: Team Dez Nuts wins....RIGHT

Grau's Beeyatch (4-7) v The Trashmen (6-5)

Talk about a real barn burner. I mean seriously who loses to "Grau's Beeyatch" - who didn't even play a kicker!! It must be a family thing! I guess the Vanderkolk's must be the beeyatch of the beeyatch of Grau - and that is not a fun place to be!

Remaining Schedules....

Grau's Beeyatch (2.33333%, repeating of course) - Steady Diet, The J-Bones

For a team that needs to win out, this was a big win. However, the amount points scored is not going to do them any favors in the tie-breaker department. This next week they matchup with one of the top teams in the league - Steady Diet - and it could be the end of the Beeyatch!

The Trashmen (88%) - Mr. Rodger's Neighborhood, Col. Erran Morad

If The Trashmen can go 1-1 the next two weeks, they should be able to make it. That would put them at 7-6 and as it stands now, I think that would be enough to get in. If they win next week against the big brother - they are in a great position as their last week is a against one of the bottom level teams.

Result: Grau's Beeyatch wins
Prediction: The Trashmen wins....WRONG!!
Competitors Prediction: The Trashmen wins....WRONG!!

Hoosier Daddy (6-5) v Steady Diet (9-2)

Tyreek Hill does it again. The man is insane - he can go out and win a week (or three) for you with performances like that. In the eleven weeks, Hill has scored more than 30 points four times, but he has scored less than 15 points five times - this week just happen to be one 30 point booms!

Steady Diet (100%) - Grau's Beeyatch, Sagging TD's

Although Steady Diet is already in - he is still in contention for the top seed. He has the ability to knock out Grau's Beeyatch, something neither Vanderkolk could do. He also has a nice and easy final week of the regular season matchup - he might think about giving some of his studs some time off!

Hoosier Daddy (55%) - MMIG, PIMB

Hoosier Daddy finds himself in the cluster of teams sitting at 6-5 and battling for a playoff spot. If he can manage to go 1-1 through the next two weeks - he should make it. It is not guaranteed, but he should make it. The difficult part - someone might get knocked out by either losing to a bottom feeder team or by not scoring enough points. I would rather have it come down to the final week and the final matchup against PIMB - both teams needing a win - that would be an awesome finish!

Result: Steady Diet wins
Prediction: Hoosier Daddy wins...WRONG!!
Competitor's Prediction: Steady Diet wins...RIGHT!!

Hernandez Hit Men (10-1) v Mike McCarthy is Gay (2-9)

Honestly, it looked like MMIG was going to hand out one of the most surprising upsets of the year - until Mahomes decided to tear up the Rams on MNF. It is crazy to think that HHM had a line up consisting of four positions scoring under 10 points (two of which scored zero points) and still managed to score more than 130 points.

Remaining Schedule...

Hernandez Hit Men (100%) - The J-Bones, Team Dez Nuts

Hernandez Hit Men has already clinched their spot and find themselves in a terrific position to secure the top spot. Not to mention, on their way to the playoffs they have the ability to knockout two teams - which is a high possibility.

MMIG (0%) - Hoosier Daddy, Mr. Rodger's Neighborhood

MMIG is out of the race themselves - but they can really have an effect on a couple team's chances. If Hoosier Daddy were to lose to MMIG it would really hurt their chances of making the playoffs. Mr. Rodger's Neighborhood is already in the playoffs - but they may want to keep winning to avoid HHM as long as possible.

Result: Hernandez Hit Men wins
Prediction: Hernandez Hit Men wins....RIGHT!!
Competitor's Prediction: Hernandez Hit Men wins....RIGHT!!

Matchup of the Week
OSCARMEYER WIENERLOVER (7-4) v The J-Bones (4-7)

This was a very important matchup for both teams - the result could be season ending for one team.

The J-Bones did not want to see Goff have that kind of MNF performance. Goff's performance clinched a playoff berth for WEINERLOVER and essentially pushed The J-Bones to brink of elimination!

Remaining Schedules....

OSCARMEYER WEINERLOVER (100%) - PIMB, White Condomints

Already locked in, but could really hurt PIMB's chances. The final week matchup is really just a preview of what could happen in the playoffs - it is like when two teams play the final week of the regular season, but don't want to show the other team their true potential. Maybe we will see some bench player get a little playing time.

The J-Bones (2.33333%) - Hernandez Hit Men, Grau's Beeyatch

It would be awesome if the both The J-Bones and Grau's Beeyatch could pull off the upset next week and then face off for a chance at the final spot - but it is not likely. The J-Bones will need a stunner next week and anything is possible - so start praying!!

Result: OSCARMEYER WEINERLOVER wins
Prediction: The J-Bones wins....WRONG!!
Competitors Prediction: OSCARMEYER WEINERLOVER wins...RIGHT!!

Week 11 Predictions

After last week, the playoff race only got tighter. I can confidently tell you that it is going to take at least 6 wins to get into the playoffs - which means another team has joined Sagging TD's...

Teams that have clinched a Playoff Berth:
1. Hernandez Hit Men (9-1)
2. White Condomints (9-1)
3. Steady Diet (8-2)

Teams in the race:
1. Mr. Rodgers Neighborhood (6-4)
2. OSCARMEYER WIENERLOVER (6-4)
3. Hoosier Daddy (5-5)
4. The Trashmen (5-5)
5. Prible is my B*tch (5-5)
6. The J-Bones (4-6)
7. Team Dez Nuts (4-6)
8. Grau's Beeyatch (3-7)
9. Col. Erran Morad (3-7)

Teams Eliminated:
1. Mike McCarthy is Gay
2. Sagging TD's

Mr. Rodger's Neighborhood v White Condomints

This is an interesting matchup between a team that is fighting for a playoff berth and a team that is fighting for the top seed.

Mr. Rodgers will be looking for a bigger performance from Barkley - who let him down last week against Dez Nuts. IF that doesn't happen there could be trouble this week - Hilton, Jackson, Snead have all been anything but consistent this season. The news that Leveon Bell will not be playing at all this season is a big blow to Mr. Rodger's roster - but nothing that is too devastating. He would have lost Kupp to injury anyways, so essentially he will have just lost Breida - which could actually end up hurting him this week.

White Condomints will be relying on his three studs: Brown, Hopkins, and Hunt. Ingram will hopefully pitch in when it is needed and Prescott could have a good week against a soft defense. Cohen finds himself in the middle of a primetime battle with Minnesota - hopefully he can shine bright with all eyes on him! WC could find themselves in a points race for the winner of the regular season - hopefully he can find some!

Prediction: White Condomints

Col. Erran Morad v Prible is my B*tch

Col. Morad is not yet eliminated, but he will need to win out and get a little help from a few others.

If Col. Morad wins out, he will finish at 6-7 which also means that in order to make the playoffs....

Team Dez Nuts, The J-Bones, and one of the three 5-5 teams would have to fail to reach 6 wins - not likely, but a step in the right direction is winning this week.

Outside of Big Ben going against a tough secondary, the matchups look favorable for Col. Morad. Will we see another 160+ point explosion? Doubtful, but there is a good possibility of 120+ points.

If PIMB wants to get one step closer locking up a playoff berth - this is a huge week! OBJ and Jones are going to need to show up again, and in a big way. Peterson is going to struggle finding any running lanes with that offensive line against the Houston defense. Boyd is going to struggle again this week without Green to take some of the pressure off of him. This matchup is going to come down Jones and OBJ having big weeks and a couple other players stepping up and scoring some points for PIMB.

Unfortunately, matchups are leaning towards...

Prediction: Col. Erran Morad

Sagging TD's v Team Dez Nuts

I am fairly positive that Sagging TD's is not changing anything in their lineup - which saddens me, but helped his previous opponents.

This is a huge week for Dez Nuts - who has found themselves on a two game winning streak. A lot of that is thanks to Luck and Smith-Schuster stepping up as Kelce has had average tight end games. This week Kelce should find himself in a high scoring affair and could easily score into the 20's. The game script might be in the favor of Thompson; I could easily see Washington struggling to find running lanes and opt for the receiving back against Houston defensive front.

For Sagging TD's, I don't see a ton that I like. I love Brees, but after that I am not sure. I think Carson could have a good game - but you never know which running back Seattle is going to ride. Brown has always been an off and on receiver. Sorry Team Dez Nuts - I am not sure I can talk myself into picking your opponent this week...

Prediction: Team Dez Nuts

Grau's Beeyatch v The Trashmen

Grau's Beeyatch finds themselves in the same situation as Col. Morad - needs to win out and needs to have some help.

Luckily, Grau's B has my prediction for the number running back this week: Elliott. Average running backs have been tearing up Atlanta's defense - imagine what a top level running back will be able to do! Jeffery has a terrific matchup with the worst passing defense in the NFL. Thursday Night Football is an important game for Grau's B: can Aaron Rodgers deliver when it is needed most?

The Trashmen would love to notch another one in the win column and also knock someone out of the race at the same time. Wentz and Ertz make for a very appetizing stack - which should work out tremendously against a soft New Orleans secondary. Actually, outside of the running back position - there are a lot of nice matchups for The Trashmen. I would look into switching up the defense, Indianapolis has been looking very efficient on offense and are on a nice three game winning streak! Other than that, ride that Philly stack to a big win this week...

Prediction: The Trashmen

Hoosier Daddy v Steady Diet

It is about time we have our rematch from last season's championship!

Last year Steady Diet (then named Waco Kid) enjoyed the points explosion from Gurley - this year? Gurley is playing for Hoosier Daddy. If Gurley is willing to switch teams, then so will I!

Prediction: Hoosier Daddy

Hernandez Hit Men v Mike McCarthy is Gay

As you can tell, this matchup is littered with bye week players - which would have worked in MMIG's favor if it wasn't the Patriots bye week.

Mahomes is in a game featuring the highest over/under points line - which means it should be extremely high scoring. McCaffrey has already showcased his ability to single-handedly dominate the offense for Carolina. Melvin Gordon is....well, Melvin Gordon! These three alone are going to be tough - let alone throwing in Ebron, who seems to constantly find the end zone.

MMIG has Dalton on his bench - which is not necessarily a good thing, as he faces Baltimore's defense this week. However, he also has Adam Theilen on his bench - who has dominated this season. MMIG is already eliminated and this week is not going to make that easier.

Prediction: Hernandez Hit Men

Matchup of the Week
OSCARMEYER WIENERLOVER v The J-Bones

This is the Matchup of the Week, for one reason only - they will be watching the games together!

QB - Goff v Stafford
Goff clearly has the upper hand. He is featured in a matchup that is expecting the highest point total and Stafford has look subpar since the trade deadline. Clearly, Goff has the upper hand - even he is just lost Kupp for the season.

RB - Johnson/Rodgers v Conner/Coleman
Which one of these running backs don't belong? Rodgers had an anomaly week last week with 8 receptions. Prior to this week, Rodgers hadn't broken 7 points - clear advantage to Conner and Coleman, especially with Bell not reporting.

WR - Thomas/Golladay v Allen/Ridley
Currently, Kupp is in the starting lineup - but that is going to change. Ridley has been The J-Bones go to replacement wide receiver and has been fairly consistent in that role. Thomas is clearly the guy to have in this matchup, but Golladay has struggled after the trade of Tate. There is a slight advantage for Thomas/Golladay, but this is closer than you might think!

TE - Hooper v Reed
Personally, I am not very big on anyone for Washington this week. I just think that the offensive line injury issues is going to catch up to them sooner rather than later. Hooper has been up and down this season, but he is in an offense that should move the ball and he will see opportunities in the red zone. Advantage Hooper.

FLEX - Diggs v Mack
This is the current matchup, but Breida definitely made a case for himself to be played this week instead of Mack. Diggs has a very tough matchup this week and might struggle to find an opening. I think either running back (Mack or Breida) will outperform Diggs this week. The bigger question: who plays after this week?

D/K - Bengals/Hopkins v ?/Lutz
I know the "?" will be replaced with a defense, but the only defense on The J-Bones bench is Minnesota. Minnesota has to face the Bears who have actually looked really good on offense. I give the advantage to the Bengals/Hopkins - I think the Bengals will swallow Flacco and spit him out (I hate that guy)!

Prediction: The J-Bones, need a big week from the running backs!

Week 10 Results

Let me start off this post with a nice little poem  about this past week....

There once was a man who was STUPID
He left his room to get rid of some fluid
His computer was open
He left his team for some grope'n

After he was done and a little bit leaner
He returned, only to find out he is a lover of wiener
His new name is the reason
He will be in the postseason

With that, if you have not heard - you may want to protect your belongings when a shadow is lurking. There was a team name change this week, and it may or may not have been done by someone other than the team's GM. Nonetheless, the owner kept the team name and went on to dominate this week - looks like it is going to stick!

White Condomints (9-1) v UrBlogIsWeak SucItAtkins (3-7)

All I am saying is, I expect a team name change in the near future. The acceptable team names....

1. MineTeamIsWeak SucItMe
2. 13 Reasons Why My Team Sucks
3. More-is is not always Better
4. Richard Inmee

The J-Bones (5-5) v Col. Erran Morad (3-7)

Well, well - looks like we have new GM that is sick and tired of his team absolutely sucking and he is looking to make a late season run at the playoffs...

Col. Morad made a statement this week, in a big way. With Fournette returning, this team has a legitimate running back - which crucial in this point of the season. Robinson and Davis (WR) has big games - which may not be able to be relied upon, but hey - who is going to turn down more points? This is the time of the year when Big Ben really turns it on, and he might be the steadiest player in this entire lineup. If Col. Morad can sneak into the playoffs they will be looking to knock off a giant in round one.

The J-Bones really needed this win, as they were sitting just inside the playoff cut-line. Now they will be just outside the playoff line and will continue to fight for their postseason lives. With the great decision to trade Bell (it looks like he will not be reporting/did not report), he was only hurt by Kupp's injury on Sunday. Kupp was the only real benefit of that trade as The J-Bones already had Conner, Coleman, and Mack - although two out of three had an off week. In fact everyone for The J-Bones had an off week, hopefully they are saving up their big performances for a week that is really important...

Result: Col. Erran Morad wins

Prible is my B*tch (5-5) v Sagging TD's (1-9)

Well, there is no surprise here. Although, I really would have guessed a little more production from PIMB - but all you can ask is that you beat the person you are playing that week.

This matchup had the two lowest scores of the week, luckily PIMB was playing Sagging TD's. Now, to be fair - there was not much Sagging TD's had on the bench that he could replace players with. Not to say he could have looked through the waiver wire and found someone suitable to play. It is just difficult to watch this train wreck continue to happen - it burns my eyes and my face feels like it is constantly squinting in pain every time I look at this lineup. Please fix it. Please take pride these last weeks of the regular season. Please embrace the role of spoiler and try to knock someone out of the playoffs!

PIMB - you are one lucky S.O.B. With no real production outside of Jones and Beckham, you would have lost to everybody else. However, now you have survived your big bye-week and can work on securing your spot in the postseason.

Team Dez Nuts (4-6) v Mr. Rodgers Neighborhood (6-4)

Looks like my gift to Team Dez Nuts just keep on coming. I will promise to pick your opponent every time next year - if you win out the rest of the regular season.

Don't look now, here come a pair of nuts! The lineup from Dez Nuts looks very well rounded and balanced, even Yeldon was able to score some points with the return of Fournette. This type of production won't be consistent, but also remember the Smith-Schuster only played three quarters and Kelce will score more than 10.6 points on a regular basis. The team could easily find themselves in the 120's if they are able to find a defense that can compliment the rest of the team.

How does Barkley only score 14 points - on one the best offensive nights for the Giants! Talk about a waste of a performance from Bortles - that will never happen again, nor will it be needed. Mr. Rodgers has hit a skid late in the season and need to turn things around quickly - or they will limp into the playoffs and quickly get put down like a shelter dog!

Result: Team Dez Nuts wins
Prediction: Mr. Rodgers Neighborhood wins....WRONG
Competitors Prediction: Mr. Rodgers Neighborhood wins....WRONG

The Trashmen (5-5) v Hoosier Daddy (5-5)

This was a crazy matchup and one that belonged to one person.... Zach Ertz. The SNF game was one that Hoosier Daddy wishes never took place.

There are good tight ends, and then there is Zach Ertz. Ertz had 14 catches for 145 yards and 2 touchdowns. Let's put this in perspective...

Ertz outperformed M. Thomas last week, who had over 200 yards receiving.
Ertz outperformed T. Hill in week 6, who had 146 yards and 3 touchdowns.
There is only one player in the league to outperform Ertz - Alvin Kamara (who did it twice).

This is unfamiliar territory for a TE.

Not that Hoosier Daddy can really complain, but his J-E-T-S defense had do idea how to stop the Bills offense. Gurley and Wilson can only do so much - they are going to need help from some other position. Evans - all eyes are on you buddy! Fitzpatrick was able to throw for 406 yards and Evans only managed 8.1 points. This is not a good look, not a good look at all!

Result: The Trashmen win
Prediction: Hoosier Daddy wins....WRONG
Competitors Prediction: The Trashmen win....RIGHT

Mike McCarthy is Gay (2-8) v OSCARMEYER WEINERLOVER (6-4)

Well, well, well - looks like WeinerLover found himself a roster! David Johnson has quietly put together a decent season with a big performance this week, he should find himself easily inside the top ten at the running back position. This huge week, and multiple other players out performing their expectations - WeinerLover has put together a week that will put him in the record books at 3rd place over the course of this league's lifetime! This is a huge accomplishment and many thanks to a certain someone, that has allowed this beautiful league to now add a WeinerLover to our record book.

MMIG really needed this win, they may be right on the brink of mathematical elimination - I will have to survey the landscape, but it isn't looking good. Cooks had a great week and so did the Bills defense - but nothing really came together for MMIG (not that it would have mattered). This was a just a case of bad timing as they ran into a Lover of Weiners and his tremendous score!

Matchup of the Week
Steady Diet (8-2) v Hernandez Hit Men (9-1)

This was the highly touted "Matchup of the Week" and it looks only one team really appreciated the opportunity to appear in it.

QB - Newton v Mahomes
Newton and the Panthers found themselves extremely outmatched in the TNF battle. There was really only one Panther that decided to show-up, we will get to him soon. There was just nothing working for their offense and everything was clicking for the Steelers. On the flip side, Mahomes also had a down week - he only threw for 2 touchdowns and 249 yards. Can you believe that is his down week?

RB - Kamara/Mixon v McCaffrey/Chubb
Prior to the matchup it was originally Kamara/Ekeler, with the change to Mixon I would have thought that the advantage would have been in favor of Kamara/Mixon. Nah, baby, Nah! McCaffrey absolutely exploded on TNF and was the only Panther able to get anything going. He is looking like the "do everything" running back the Panther were expecting. Chubb made his best effort to catch him, as he broke off a 92-yard run midway through the game on Sunday. 72.7 points - this might be the highest total between a running back tandem this year.

WR - Hill/Funchess v Tate/Landry
Hill had a big game, this was needed after a couple weeks of mediocre scoring. The "boom or bust" receiver has the ability to really explode, don't get caught holding the dynamite when it goes off! Tate and Landry had a couple of games that need to be forgotten. Luckily, the running backs were able to carry them to victory and their output was not needed.

TE - Doyle v Ebron
Ebron had this matchup won by the end of the first quarter. He had multiple terrific catches - his first touchdown reception was amazing, especially the run after the catch. In the battle of the Indy TE's Ebron clearly has the upper hand!

FLEX - Ekeler v Gordon
Everybody knew exactly how this matchup was going to finish. Gordon is the workhorse back for LAC and Ekeler is his backup.

The TE and FLEX position consisted on battles between players on the same team at the same position. Both matchups were won by Hernandez Hit Men - looks like someone knows how to tell the difference between a backup and a starter.

DST/K - Redskins/Prater v Falcons/Maher
Redskins and Prater won, mainly due to the fact that the Falcons decided to surprise everyone and not show up on Sunday. It was either the lack of Atlanta's defense or the fact that Baker Mayfield was feeling dangerous, either way - Atlanta scored -2 and the Redskins/Prater won the battle.

Result: Hernandez Hit Men wins, pushing them closer to locking up a regular season title

Week 10 Predictions

We are nearing the point in the season where we can start to mathematically eliminate teams! Who isn't excited about that?!? Who doesn't love the point of the season when every single movement that a team makes is scrutinized and thought about a little bit more. Much like the trade that was recently made in our league....

The J-Bones trades Leveon Bell
Mr. Rodgers Neighborhood trades Cooper Kupp and Matt Brieda

Now, on paper the names look slightly lopsided, a player who has yet to play a snap this season for a top wide receiver and decent running back. However, remember Bell is reportedly in Pittsburgh and is awaiting the perfect time to check-in with the Steelers - ideally before next Tuesday. If he doesn't check-in Mr. Rodgers just traded away two possible starters for nothing. If he does check-in Mr. Rodgers will be hoping that the Steelers will give Bell a chance to show what he can do.

The J-Bones coincidentally also have James Conner and is hoping that the Steelers freeze out Bell. I look at this trade and I think that this is a high risk for Mr. Rodgers (but it could pay-off) and a safe bet for The J-Bones. The J-Bones have turned a player that was sitting on his bench the entire season into a starting wide receiver and suitable replacement (if needed).

Both teams needed to make the trade in order to compete in the playoffs - although neither team is guaranteed a spot just yet!

With 8 teams making the playoffs in a 14 team league, that means 6 teams are currently on the outside looking in. Here is how it stands prior to week 10...

Playoff Bound
1. Hernandez Hit Men (8-1)
2. White Condomints (8-1)
3. Steady Diet (8-1)
4. Mr. Rodgers Neighborhood (6-3)
5. Hoosier Daddy (5-4)
6. I AM STUPID (5-4)
7. The Trashmen (4-5)
8. The J-Bones (4-5)

Outside Looking In
9. Prible is my B*tch (4-5)
10. UrBlogIsWeak SucItAtkins (3-6)
11. Team Dez Nuts (3-6)
12. Mike McCarthy is Gay (2-7)
13. Col. Erran Morad (2-7)
14. Sagging TD's (1-8)

With four weeks left, we can already assume that the top three teams are locked into the playoffs. However, everyone else is facing a very important stretch of games. One team (Sagging TD's) is already eliminated based upon the future matchups and their inability to win enough games to catch a top 8 spot - which also means that as commissioner, I will not allow any trades to take place with Sagging TD's. Everyone else - good luck, this is a huge week for you...

White Condomints (8-1) v UrBlogIsWeak SucItAtkins (3-6)

I have nothing to say about this team - UrBlogIsWeak. Even the name makes me sick...

Prediction: White Condomints.... UrTeamIsWeak SucItMounsey!

The J-Bones (4-5) v Col. Erran Morad (2-7)

The J-Bones are currently the last team in the playoffs - which makes this week even more important. The trade that was made involving Bell - is highly in The J-Bones favor this week.

Cooper Kupp is the player that will solidify the lineup this week. This is now a lineup that has a chance to score the highest total this week. As long as the Steelers select to give Conner the ball, and not split carries with Bell - this team will have three running backs that are dominating the touches out of their respective backfields. Along with the running backs, Kupp and Allen are both the number one receiver on their respective teams. Look out Bluffton Bombshells, here comes The J-Bones.

Col. Erran Morad - after this week you will join Sagging TD's, it was good season! Or was it?

Prediction: The J-Bones

Prible is my B*tch (4-5) v Sagging TD's (1-8)

As stated earlier in this post, one of these teams is on the outside and unable to get in - the next best thing? Playing spoiler.

The difficult part is that PIMB has no backup quarterback or defense to replace the bye week positions. There are not many options on the waiver wire for PIMB to pickup for his quarterback - which makes this a tremendously difficult position to cover. This is a near must win week for PIMB and the loss of a reliable quarterback is a hit that might be the final straw.

Sagging TD's has a shaky lineup, but a tremendous quarterback. Isn't that ironic? The team needing a quarterback is going against a team that is already eliminated but has a terrific quarterback. Nonetheless, the rest of the lineup for Sagging TD's is too inconsistent to compete against the likes of both Jones and Beckham.

Prediction: Prible is my B*tch

Team Dez Nuts (3-6) v Mr. Rodgers Neighborhood (6-3)

This is a must win for Team Dez Nuts if he doesn't want to be pushed to the brink - he wouldn't be completely eliminated, but it would take a miracle.

Mr. Rodgers made a big trade this week - giving away Cooper Kupp and Matt Brieda, for a player that more than likely won't play this week. However, his lineup doesn't look like it took that much of a hit. K. Johnson, J. White, and S. Barkley make up a terrific running back department with D. Jackson and D. Amendola at wide receiver. His receivers are not the most consistent, but with the running backs carrying the team they don't need to do much.

Team Dez Nuts welcomes back A. Luck, D. Moncrief, and A. Vinny. It is going to take a big week from Luck, Kelce, and JuJu - with a good week from the supporting cast if Dez Nuts wants to compete. This matchup will be closer than what people may think and honestly, the last time I picked Team Dez Nuts' opponent to win, he won - so here is another gift....

Prediction: Mr. Rodgers Neighborhood

The Trashmen (4-5) v Hoosier Daddy (5-4)

Both these teams are hovering right around the cut-line, which makes this a very important week for both teams.

The Trashmen need a big week from M. Ryan and D. Adams as they both have great matchups. This is needed in order to make up for the lack of running back production - no one expecting a lot from Riddick or Mr. Dick. If The Trashmen lose this week, they will not be mathematically eliminated - but it will be an uphill battle.

Hoosier Daddy is currently inside the cutline, but a loss could be detrimental to their standing. Luckily, they have Gurley as a running back. Josh Gordon also has become the number one receiver for Brady - which is great for Hoosier Daddy. I have to think that one the receivers (Gordon, Evans, Fitzgerald) will have a good week to compliment Gurley. Look for Hoosier Daddy to rely on his studs to solidify his playoff position.

Prediction: Hoosier Daddy

Mike McCarthy is Gay (2-7) v I AM STUPID (5-4)

MMIG is desperately going to miss Thielen, his replacement would be Cobb - which is suitable, but still no Thielen. This is a must win for MMIG and "want" to win for STUPID.

Brady and Edelman will be a sneaky stack against a week Tennessee  defense. Lewis and Cooks could both have big games and it is needed for MMIG. The real deciding factor for MMIG is going to be Cobb - luckily G. Allison is out for the season, which opens up targets for Cobb. The more I look at MMIG's lineup, the more I can convince myself that this week is looking good for him!

Michael Thomas exploded last week for 39.1 points - don't expect that same performance again. However, Thomas could easily have a good week against Cincinnati, a game that could easily turn into a shootout. Kenny G. struggled last week to find any space and it will only be harder this week against a tough Chicago defense. D. Johnson is going against the Chiefs - there should be plenty of opportunity for him.

I liked MMIG's lineup, but on second glance...

Prediction: I AM STUPID

Matchup of the Week
Steady Diet (8-1) v Hernandez Hit Men (8-1)

Holy SH*T! What a matchup we have here! Two top teams that are matched up and this late in the season - this will have enormous implications on the regular season victor.

QB - Newton v Mahomes
This is a terrific battle between two quarterbacks that are superstars in their offense. This week Newton will go against Pittsburgh in a TNF game that should supply plenty of fireworks. The only downside would be that the game is on Thursday - even though there is a high chance that this game should be a shootout. On the other hand, Mahomes has been on a record pace and Arizona shouldn't possess any type of roadblock. Advantage Mahomes

RB - Kamara/Ekeler v McCaffrey/Chubb
Kamara is a beast for New Orleans. However, as good as Kamara - Ekeler is just as shaky. McCaffrey is apart of that fantastic TNF match and should supply a huge start to the week. Chubb is much safer than Ekeler in terms of consistency. This is an extremely close matchup and the slightest of slight advantages goes to McCaffrey/Chubb.

WR - Hill/Beasley v Tate/Landry
As good as HHM's team is, the trade of Tate really hurt his wide receiver department. Not to mention that the other receiver is a Cleveland Brown. However, Ty-Freak Hill has the possibility of exploding every single week. There is no denying that the loss of AJ Green is felt, and the question will be whether or not Beasley can fill those shoes. As for this week, the advantage is Hill/Beasley - solely because of Hill and his ability.

TE - Gronk v Ebron
Gronk is not the tight end that he once was, but he still once of Brady's top dogs. When Gronk is healthy, which seldom - he is one of the toughest players to matchup with. Ebron was a beast at the tight end position when Jack Doyle was sidelined - but now he is back. This forces both tight ends to be very touchdown dependent - which is never a safe play. Advantage Gronk - if healthy.

FLEX - Funchess v Gordon
Uhhhhh.... do I even need to say anything?

DST/K - Redskins/Prater v Steelers/Maher
Yet again, another coin flip. With so many matchups so close - there is no wonder both of these teams are at the top of the league. The advantage goes to Redskins/Prater - as Washington's defense is slightly tougher and the Steelers game could turn into a shootout on TNF.

Each time I look at the matchups I only see one distinct advantage - Gordon over Funchess. Because of this...

Prediction: Hernandez Hit Men

Week 9 Re-salts

Whenever anyone eats food, the first thing they do is reach for the salt and pepper. First off, it is crazy to me that there is an unwritten rule that anywhere salt goes, pepper is suppose to follow. So, if I 'just push' the salt to you - then I better take the pepper and 'push it real good.' Am I right? Am I right? Secondly, salt represents so much more than just a table condiment. Salt is the extra addition that enhances everything you already have on your plate. Some people have become so accustom to having salt - that they might say their food tastes bad without salt. When in reality their food is still the same, just not enhanced.

In fantasy football salt is like your role players. The saying goes, "start your studs." What this really means, is that no matter who your big-time guys are playing you don't take them out. Forget about matchup problems - "start your studs." These guys are your meat and potatoes. What separates your meat and potatoes from other plates of meat and potatoes? Your salt. You players and the decisions you make on who to play and who not to play consist of your "salt." Hopefully, you got enough salt and found the right combination to "push it real good" (okay, I am done now). Let's see who had the perfect amount of salt this week....

Col. Erran Morad (2-7) v Mike McCarthy is Gay (2-7)

What a close matchup we had this week between two teams that desperately needed a win! Both teams scoring in the top half of the league this week - 4th and 5th respectively. Unfortunately, they were playing each other and someone had to lose.

For MMIG, Lewis and Cooks had good weeks - Lewis almost brought MMIG back in the MNF game. If only MMIG had a little salt to throw on the meal, but with a poor showing from Barber and James and nothing extraordinary from the Panthers defense - there just wasn't enough salt to go around.

However, the Colonel found plenty of salt and sprinkled on a few players. Jordan Howard had been underwhelming all season long, until this week when he found the end zone twice. Mike Davis, the former IU basketball coach, had a great showing as well. Those two running backs were both ranked outside the top 30 before this week. Obviously, the big addition would be Col. Morad's top scorer - Bears DST. Now, I get it - Peterman was starting. But nobody could've seen this amount of points from the defense. The Bears DST ended finishing 10th overall this week, that is ridiculous for a defense to rank that high in any given week.

Result: Col. Erran Morad wins
Prediction: MMIG wins....WRONG
Competitor's Prediction: MMIG wins....WRONG

Sagging TD's (1-8) v The J-Bones (4-5)

This was a very interesting matchup - both teams had salt, just one team didn't enough. James Conner is a running back who has been enjoying life with Bell - he is the 3rd ranked running back. That could change quickly, but not this week. Tevin Coleman would be a huge mound of salt, for now - because soon he might be turning into a nice slab of meat. Coleman is now the starting running back in ATL and he looked every bit the part. He lead The J-Bones to the highest score this week. With a power-packed punch like Conner and Coleman this team could be hard to beat - as long as Bell doesn't ruin Conner's touches.

On the flip side, Sagging actually put together a full lineup and even looked good doing it. Brees is a force to be reckoned with, especially anytime he finds himself in a game that should result in a shootout. Everyone else fell short of what was needed - outside of Watson telling the world that he and his wife are about to have twins (respective babies 6 and 7 - take that Kunkels!) But, I would not be doing my job if I didn't call attention to the Dolphins defense. Who would have thought that the Vikings defense would have scored 23 points and still been outscored by the Dolphins defense? Blows my mind, the Dolphins defense would have the been the top scorer for three other teams - and they still weren't even the top scoring defense this week!

Result: The J-Bones wins
Prediction: The J-Bones wins....RIGHT
Competitor's Prediction: The J-Bones wins....RIGHT

Mr. Rodgers Neighborhood (6-3) v Prible is my B*tch (4-5)

The difference in this matchup? The salt. James White has been a fantasy stud this year, never failing to score less than 14 points in a given week, and has found himself as the 6th best running back - more meat and potatoes than salt. However, the 49ers defense managed to score 14 points in a Thursday Night football game. Anytime you can get that amount from your defense and you can salvage a win in a terrible week (performance-wise) you can be thankful.

For PIMB, let's just all take a moment and recognize Julio Jones. This has been by far his most consistent year - and this is the first week he scored a touchdown. A normal year for Jones might consist of a few mediocre weeks and then one week where he has 4,000 yards receiving. Not this year, Jones has turned over a new leaf and is extremely consistent. Unfortunately, PIMB didn't have any salt in the defense and tight end position.

UrBlogIsWeak SucItAtkins (3-6) v Team Dez Nuts (3-6)

I tell you what, if you don't have any salt - you better hope your opponent doesn't either. That would be the case in this matchup.

In this matchup only one person managed to score more than 20 points - Kelce, who had a great week. However, on his team only one other position managed double digit points. Yikes! To be fair, Dez Nuts was missing Luck at quarterback and Yeldon at running back. Martin should eventually have better games - but right now, this team needs to have a players only sit down and get their affairs in order. Or do they? Let us remember, Dez Nuts actually won this week.

UrBlogIsWeak - I have no time that can be spent on a team that has chosen to slander this blog with their name and then also have performances like this. You disgust me!

Hernandez Hit Men (8-1) v The Trashmen (4-5)

In the predictions article, I had informed The Trashmen that they might be in for a bit of a beatdown after the Hernandez Hit Men was handed their first loss the week before. Who gave them that loss? Oh yes, that is right - in fact HHM, you still have a little bit of White Condomint on your face!

Anyways, HHM this week had a terrific week. With great performances from the meat and potatoes (Mahomes and McCaffrey) as well as plenty of salt with a stellar performance from Heuerman.

After that, just sprinkle a little more salt on few other positions and you have yourself the 2nd highest scoring total.

Unlucky for The Trashmen, they just ran into an angry top level team. OJ Howard had a great game, and he is loving the fact that Fitzpatrick is back. Ryan had a great game, and Adams was decent. There is just nothing you can do when the other team plays a guy at tight end that happens to double his previous career bests in receptions and receiving yards. I don't know if it is a smart play by HHM, or just lucky - either way, it happened.

I AM STUPID (5-4) v Steady Diet (8-1)

It is fitting that our league and the NFL both lost the last undefeated team in the same week. You want to know what Steady Diet didn't have? The salt.

Newton and Kamara both played well, the latter played extremely well. However, with nothing else really working for Steady - it was a disaster in the making. Although, to be fair Steady has had quiet a few breaks happen in order to keep his streak alive - Tom Brady kneeling, to name one. What really killed Steady Diet? Gronk being ruled out and the Redskins DST scoring -4. Not a good combo.

On the flip side, I AM STUPID didn't have much salt either. Instead, STUPID just ordered a double serving of meat - this man loves his meat. He loves his meat on his plate, on his fork, and he especially loves his meat in his mouth - who doesn't? I would guess that after the performance Thomas and Goff put-up this week, some might rate his meat a 20/10 - only some though.

All jokes aside, the man has nice meat and Thomas had a huge week! That is what it is going to take to knock off the last undefeated team in the Bluffton Bombshells - a very nice package of meat!

Matchup of the Week
White Condomints (8-1) v Hoosier Daddy (5-4)

This matchup was extremely close and also could be one that happens in the future.... playoffs???

QB - Prescott v Wilson
Wilson had a decent game against a good defense. Prescott and the Cowboys look lost - however, Prescott was able to find the end zone twice. That helped considering he needed to score points in MNF otherwise this matchup would have gone the other way. Wilson had the advantage and Wilson won.

RB - Hunt/Ingram v Gurley/Jones
It looked like Gurley was going to explode this week. Instead, Kamara ended up exploding in that game. However, Hunt continued to terrorize the Browns defense all game long. Hunt had a huge game, and it was needed because Ingram was virtually sidelined while Kamara torched the Rams. Gurley/Jones had the advantage, but Hunt/Ingram (just Hunt) won.

WR - Hopkins/Brown v Evans/Sutton
This was a matchup that the outcome was expected - it was just a matter of how much the difference was going to be. Nobody would have guessed that Evans ends up the low scorer on the Hoosier Daddy's team - nobody. Hopkins/Brown win the matchup and was expected to.

TE - Kittle v Olsen
Olsen had a slight advantage just because Kittle played on Thursday Night. It turns out, it didn't matter. Kittle was only targeted four times, but made a tremendous catch in between two defenders and continued to be inefficient with his opportunities. Olsen had a good game himself, making a few terrific catches in traffic. Olsen had the slight advantage, Kittle won.

FLEX - Cohen v Gordon
Flash Gordon reminded everybody that he still has "it." With Tom Brady throwing the ball, Gordon could be extremely deadly the rest of the season. Look for this tandem to keep up this performance - which makes Hoosier Daddy a very scary team. Cohen had the slight advantage, Gordon cruised.

D/K - Patriots/Butker v Broncos/Fairbairn
Since neither of the defenses where the ones that exploded for huge points - this matchup was pretty much meaningless. Although, the Broncos/Fairbairn had the advantage and they won.
