This is the week that is some deep inner thoughts happening...
Is my team good enough?
What do I need to do to switch up the mojo?
Did I just donate $20?
Should I jack-off standing or sitting?
Trust me, there are a lot of people that are pondering these questions. There are three teams that are 0-2 (Heat Abba Goad Hicks/??/??) and it does not look good for them. Luckily, it is early and the fantasy season is young - but something needs to change. Some teams are making moves and there has already been rumors of more trades in the works. A few trades that have happened...
A) DJ Moore to MAYEday for Puka Nacua to Heat Hicks
For a team that is 0-2, trading for a player that is on the IR might not have been the play. Heat Hicks is going to need to grab a few wins during this time if this trade is going to work out. Luckily, Moore has not been great - frankly, the entire Chicago offense has struggled. Moore is still getting 10+ points each week, but for a guy that finished near the top last year - he has to start performing or MAYEday is in trouble as well.
B) Dalton Kincaid to Cowboys for George Pickens to Wrinkle
This was a needed trade for Wrinkle and Cowboys has always liked Kincaid. The issue becomes whether or not this will be enough to help Wrinkle in the long run. Pickens is a receiver that has the skill set, the question is the QB that is throwing him the ball. Kincaid works for Cowboys... it just hasn't seemed to work out for the Bills. It is strange, Kincaid should be getting 10+ targets a game on that team but Josh Allen is convinced otherwise.
C) Who will be the next trade?
Matchup of the Week
Ankle Holster* (1-1) v Ertz when Eifert (2-0)
When a MotW does not live up to the hype, it can be a little disheartening. This is your time to shine and then you throw up 90 points???
Matchup to Watch: I said I like JJ and DK better... I was not wrong (obviously). However, this comes at what cost? Jefferson left the game with an injury, as long as he is good to go - he should be a target monster... but this is now the 2nd injury in 2 years for JJ. On the flip side, Worthy and Diggs scored 11.9 points COMBINED. That is just not going to get it done.
Players of Note: The trio of Jacobs/Hall/Conners is a definite positive. This just goes to show that there needs to be some kind of bonus - otherwise a player like Jacobs is not properly rewarded. We are talking about a guy who had over 150 rushing yards... and was still only rewarded 13 points. There are just too many explosions to highlight one player for the Ertz... Murray/JJ/DK/Zay all scored more than 20 points. That is a good recipe for success.

Pendulous TD's (2-0) v Heat Hicks (0-2)
One team surging to the top, one team surging to the bottom...
Matchup to Watch: Well, not having CMC proved to be a huge problem - his backup didn't score a single point. However, Achane had himself a big-time game - nearly scoring 30 points. Robinson/Etienne won the battle, but not by nearly enough with one of the opposing RB's scoring zero points.
Players of Note: Achane/Nabers/JSN all scored more than 20 points, with Nabers and Achane nearly getting to 30 points. Nabers is going to be fed the ball early and often... considering an uncle tom named WanDale is his target competitor. It is hard to look at the other side and really point fingers, Johnson clearly did not pull his weight - but other than that, the players are scoring decent points. They are just not having that explosive game like what is needed to be successful in fantasy football.

The J-Bones 2.0* (2-0) v Bootay Pirates (0-2)
It is Belt Time!!!
Matchup to Watch: This was actually a great matchup throughout the entire MNF game. Early going, it looked like Barkley was just going to keep ripping off 10 yard chunks at a time. Then Hurts got in on the action and he starting ripping off big runs. It is amazing that all that was happening and Atlanta still won the game. In terms of fantasy, Hurts and Pitts won the matchup - but not by a lot and Barkley looks like a stud in Philly for the long run.
Players of Note: Alvin Kamara. You want to win the belt in this league? You better have someone go absolutely crazy... Kamara was that guy. We are talking 180 yards from scrimmage and 4 touchdowns. The guy turned back the clock and looked like vintage Kamara. We are aware that he was drafted as the 17th RB - he is now sitting at number 1.

Cleveland Streamers (1-1) v Cocaine Cowboys (0-2)
Two 0-1 teams looking for a win, only one leaves happy - they other is still searching for an answer...
Matchup to Watch: This matchup was very underwhelming. AR is struggling in the Indy offense, whether it is overthrows or lack trust in his receivers - he is struggling. On the flip side, you would think that Lamar would absolutely tear up the Raiders defense... not so fast. Not only did Baltimore lose the game, Lamar was held for under 50 rushing yards - that needs to change in week 3.
Players of Note: If you just look at the box score, nobody jumps out to you. If you watch the games... McBride might be the most important player for the Streamers. McBride was still able to score 18 points off of 6 catches and 60+ yards, how is that possible? He also dove on a fumble and scored a touchdown that way. In a game that was out of hand in a hurry, McBride is still able to score points. He looks like a lock for the top three in TE's.

The J-Bones (1-1) v Connor's Stalions (2-0)
There is one team that does not need a lot of inner soul searching...
Matchup to Watch: This ended up being a little lopsided, in part because AJ Brown did not play. It did not matter though, ARSB and Nico both scored over 20 points and walked away with this matchup easily. Yet again, we have a top level receiver who had a big game - but will need to be watched with an injury. ARSB is clearly the top guy... but if he is hurt this is a big hole to replace.
Players of Note: Nobody scored more than 20 points for The J-Bones... but Henry did show that he can score points in the Baltimore running game. I predict more games like this if Baltimore wants to save Lamar for the long run... still don't know how they lost this game. On the flip side, everybody needs to change their tune on James Cook (myself included). This is either the big breakout game and things will continue this way for him (3 touchdowns) or he will come back down to earth in a hurry. The Bills offense looks convinced to continue to give him opportunities... and that equals fantasy success.

PEN15 Wrinkle (1-1) v MAYEday (0-2)
Somebody had to win...
Matchup to Watch: Engram ended up not playing and looks like he might be week to week now. This matchup did not live up to the hype, Andrews finished under 10 points and Likely finished under 5 points. It is intriguing that TE's from the same team matched-up... the incumbent Pro-Bowler led the way.
Players of Note: No player scored over 18 fantasy points in this matchup and in total 4 players reached their projections... and that includes 2 kickers. Something needs to change for these teams... there is value in the lineups and the owners will have decide if they are willing to cash-in on the value and trade around or if they are going to ride it out and hope the players start to perform.
Predicktion: MAYEday... WRONG!!

ARBL (1-1) v Love Hurts (1-1)
Man things can change in one week...
Matchup to Watch: Check it out... Murray realized that he has arguably the best rookie wide receiver on his team. MHJ finally had the game that everyone expected, sure it was only 4 catches... but it was for 130 yards and 2 touchdowns. On the flip side, things went from bad to worse for Hill - who lost his starting QB... possibly for good. Watson looked incapable of throwing a pass to Cooper on target and even though the Browns won, their offense looks out of sorts.
Players of Note: Shockingly, ARBL's bad week still does not put them in the bottom 5 all-time. They only score 58 points in total... nothing to be noted clearly. On the other hand, Kittle and MHJ scored over 20 points and Deebo nearly got there. With CMC on the IR, Deebo is going to be a guy that gets plenty of opportunities with the ball... this is someone that could have a big next couple of weeks.
