Who would've thunk it? Seriously, who would have thunk it? No, seriously, who would have thunk it? Who would have thought that a power hungry league (NFL) tries anything and everything to force its will upon a victim - sounds kind of like something they would suspend someone for 4 games, right?
Yes, that was a poor joke and probably should not have been made - but seriously, who would've thunk it?
Ezekiel Elliott was just granted his restraining order against the NFL. This will allow him to likely play the entire season and would essentially create another "Deflategate" suspension. Which in turn, would push the suspension as far back as Elliott's lawyers want it.
Now, normally I am all in favor of punishment - as long as it is justified. Let us not forget, Elliott was found not guilty in an Ohio court of law. Too bad, it is not the Goodell court of law!
Nonetheless, the restraining order was granted and Elliott will play! Those that drafted him in the second round and beyond - you got a steal! If you drafted him in the first round - you probably drafted right where he belonged!
May all Elliott owners rejoice!
